NBA analyst Skip Bayless has a change of heart for LeBron James. No seriously, as he is ‘for a change’ not making any strong-negative-comments on Los Angeles Lakers superstar, but delivering some advice for his team to perform better. Recently Skip claimed that Kyrie Irving and LeBron James’ reunion at Los Angeles Lakers would be very fruitful, even though he regularly targets both the superstars in his analysis. And now he boldly claimed that LA Lakers two-way star Scotty Pippen Jr. can help LeBron James to win some games. He even suggested that the youngster is way more useful than Russell Westbrook, which can be a dis at Westbrook or praise for Scottie Pippen Jr.
21-yer old Pippen Jr. is currently in action for the Lakers’ Summer League team and has been in great form. Impressed by the guard’s performance, Skip Bayless sees huge potential. He also lauded Scottie Jr.’s basketball IQ and made huge claims. Los Angeles Lakers will also be pleased with the business they did with the young player. LeBron was also present at the Summer League games, supporting the Lakers’ young talent.

While Los Angeles Lakers are loaded at the guard position, most of them were ineffective last season. An impactful name on the paper was Russell Westbrook, who failed miserably in his 1st year with the franchise. And after a huge disappointment, it is presumed that former regular-season MVP may not even be on the LA Lakers roster next season. There have been constant rumblings about a Westbrook-Kyrie Irving swap recently.
Several insiders believe a deal is imminent because of the mutual interest between Irving and the Lakers. LeBron James is reportedly keen to reunite with his former teammate, with whom he won a title in 2016.
Also the emergence of Lonnie Walker IV, and now Scottie Pippen Jr may put Westbrook further away from the court. Undrafted Pippen was a huge boost for the Lakers, who recorded 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals for the losing LA team. Bayless went on to heap praises on Scottie Pippin Jr. as he tweeted, “I’ll say it again: Scotty Pippen Jr. just knows how to play basketball, how to get to the rim and the line, how to disrupt on defense. He will help LeBron far more than Westbrook did last season.”
Skip Bayless also made huge supportive claims for LeBron James, that the addition of Kyrie Irving would get better out of the king. Many fans also believe that the Lakers’ chances of winning a championship would be much better with Irving. He can space the floor, play off the ball, and isn’t as turnover-prone as Westbrook.
The LA Lakers might have very few trade chips and heavily rely on the free agency and trade value of Westbrook to add quality to the roster. 4-time Finals MVP LeBron James and Anthony Davis are fit again to play, but the Lakers would be looking to add depth to the squad to keep both stars as fresh as possible and also to provide maximum possible support cast to their 2020 championship-winning pair.
They have added forward Juan Toscano Anderson, Jared Dudley, and center Thomas Bryant to the front court, while Cole Swider (F), Kostas Antetokounmpo, and Scottie Pippen Jr. are on two-way contracts. Fans will be eager for the new season to start and can expect better performances from 17-time NBA Champions.
