“Am I the only one noticing what is happening to Stephen again and again?” Skip Bayless believes Stephen Curry was shockingly atrocious in Game 3

“Am I the only one noticing what is happening to Stephen again and again?” Skip Bayless believes Stephen Curry was shockingly atrocious in Game 3

As the mighty Golden State Warriors lost game 3 of the NBA Finals in the 4th quarter, and Skip Bayless lashed out at Stephen Curry for his clutch game once again. The sports media personality went onto detail upon the clutch inability of the 3-Point King.

Although Stephen Curry scored 31 points in Game 3 of the 2022 NBA Finals yet the Boston Celtics came out victorious at TD Garden. The recently concluded game had very similar scenes in the 4th quarter, where Steph could score only 2 points in Game 3 as his team tallied a total of 11 points only. Skip Bayless targeted Golden State Warriors and their leader Stephen Curry for losing out in decisive moments, despite having more game experience in the Finals. To make matters worse, Steph not only left TD Garden with a loss but also with an injury to his knee.

On “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed,” Skip Bayless blasted Curry’s performance in Game 3. As per a 70-year-old analyst, Curry is having a repeat of the 2016 and 2019 NBA Finals series against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors, respectively – where he seemed inadequate to carry the team. Bayless said, “Am I the only one seeing what is happening to Steph Curry again and again and again and again? Just as we saw down the stretch of the 2015 going into the 2016 NBA Finals, Steph Curry was all-time, shockingly atrocious; 2019 – all-time, shockingly atrocious without Kevin Durant.”

Western Conference Finals MVP continued his scoring form and disrupted the Celtics’ defense for 3 games in a row. But unfortunately, he has minimal support on the court and even he is running out of ideas against Boston Celtics’ physical pressure defense in 4th quarter pressure. Skip Bayless pointed out the same thing, as he said, “It happened again last night. I’m having to judge him by the bar you have raised because you made the case going into these finals that Steph is on the verge of being an all-time top-10 player.”

Golden State Warriors marquee player Steph Curry entered the league with some promising shooting efficiency. And after spending over a decade in the league he won 3 NBA Titles, scoring championships, and back-to-back MVP Awards. In 2022, Curry has the chance to win his first Finals MVP and add his fourth ring to add his illustrious resume, the only missing individual award from a decorated NBA Star.

But after winning game 2 in the 2022 NBA Finals, the Warriors made the same mistake and found themselves at the wrong end of the results. Curry finished the game with 31 points, 4rebounds, and 4 assists. Defensively he was not much involved but had 2 steals in the game. He shot 54.5% both from the field and from beyond the arc. But defensively and offensively Warriors couldn’t help Steph to pull the required Win.

The warriors’ leader is averaging 31.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.7 steals. He has shot 48.5% from the field and 48.6% from the perimeter. He led the MVP ladder at the end of game-2 but recent outings and better performances from opponents might cost him the title and MVP award too.

With no clear idea about his injury, Warriors fans will be hoping to get him 100% for the next game. Similarly, Klay Thompson and other Warriors stars need to step up to save their impressive NBA season.
