Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant are searching for new partners, as the player expressed the desire to leave the franchise several weeks ago. After many teams failed to meet Nets’ trade criteria, speculations have been raised for just be defending champions Golden State Warriors to tick all the boxes. For the team, they can have an All-star player, a younger roaster, and maybe even future picks for their most valued asset, while Kevin Durant will get a chance to play with a championship team, with whom he already had dominated the league just before coming to the Brooklyn. But Analyst Skip Bayless said Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors front office don’t want Kevin Durant back, especially after winning a championship without him.

On the latest edition of “Undisputed,” Bayless and Shannon Sharp discussed the possibility of KD joining the Golden State Warriors. Aggressively differing from the concept, the 70-year-old analyst said, “Steph won’t let it happen … They won one without him.”. Ironically it was Steph who took a pay cut to absorb Kevin Durant back in 2017.

Kevin Durant’s trade request paused the free agency actions in the league for a while. It erupted with several destination rumors. The most absurd has been him returning to the Warriors. KD left in 2019 because of his victories being devalued, and as he was, Steph’s were as well. Both Stars moved forward attempting to prove something on their own.

Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry won the Championship this year, and after that many believe, there is no way he would want Durant back on his squad. Steph and KD won back-to-back titles – dominating the Eastern Champions in the process.

Back in 2016, when Golden State Warriors lost the finals despite a 3-1 lead in the series, they added lethal Kevin Durant in free agency, and many players including Stephen Curry took a pay cut to absorb KD’s hefty services. But the decision worked wonders for the Warriors as they won 8 of 9 final games against Cleveland and added 2 more trophies to their cabinet.

But in 2018, Green told Durant that the Warriors did not need him anyway, and Durant proceeded to leave the court. Green proved that this year, and if Curry wanted Durant back, Durant and Draymond likely would have no interest.

4-time scoring champion and 2-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant though formed a superteam in Brooklyn it never fructified into a championship team. Particularly it was not a “Team effort” but a sole try from KD to make things work. Sadly he still has to prove to himself and everybody else that he can win a championship on his own squad.

33-year-old KD remains an elite-level, two-time champion superstar nonetheless. The man is one of the greatest shooters in history no matter how he gained his Finals victories. It’s interesting to see where Durant will land in the coming days, but surely he can change the fortune of any franchise making them the title favorite.
