Skip Bayless contradicted himself on his earlier criticism of Joel Embiid, which he had made a couple of days ago. He praised ‘The Process’ performance while speaking on the Undisputed Show after the Cameroonian led the Philadelphia 76ers to a 109-106 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Joel Embiid returned from a two-month injury-plagued absence to score 24 points, create seven assists, and make six rebounds in the hard-fought win. A performance that led the controversial veteran TV analyst to call him the “most gifted” seven-foot player.

This is the most gifted 7-plus foot player we’ve ever seen. On just pure offensive gifts, I have never seen anything like this before and they were on full display right now.

Furthermore, Skip Bayless was shocked that the reigning MVP could clock 30 minutes of gameplay despite being officially listed as out before the game commenced. However, he was blown away by his performance on the court.

Unfortunately for Embiid, he is ineligible for the end-of-season awards due to the league’s new rules on the maximum number of games one can play. Although his league numbers are still elite, he averages 35.0 PPG, 11.1 RPG, and 5.7 APG.

Joel Embiid opens up on mental health struggles following his knee injury

The Philadelphia 76ers badly missed star MVP Joel Embiid and, on Tuesday night, witnessed his return after spending eight weeks on the injury absentee list. He had a conversation with reporters after the win, and he opened up about his mental struggles with the injury.

Usually, when I have injuries, I just tell myself, move on to the next one, get better and then fix it. But this one took a toll mentally, being depressed ... It was not a good one.

The Cameroonian had injured his meniscus during the loss against the Golden State Warriors, much to the annoyance of fans, and he then underwent surgery for the injured ankle. He missed 29 games with the 76ers badly suffering in his absence. They currently sit 8th in the Eastern Conference standings with a 41-35 record.

Hopefully, the return of Embiid will help rejuvenate the 76ers as they hope to make it into the postseason. His comeback win against the Western Conference’s number-one-seeded team was rather a testament to this.
