“He just gave up” Skip Bayless calls out Sixers main-man Joel Embiid as ‘ice-cold’

Skip Bayless and Joel Embiid
NBA analyst Skip Bayless slammed the Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid for poor performance. The Sixers now have lost both their matches, when everyone expected them to make a strong start. Joel looked under-confident and stressed in both the games he played.
Analyst Skip Bayless on the show, ‘Undisputed,’ quoted, “I was devastated by what I watched last night. Joel Embiid disappeared to the point where he just gave up…” Embiid was to dominate the game right from the word go. But no one would have thought of seeing him giving a below-par performance. As many expect him to walk away with the MVP award this season and dominate all his rivals in the league.
Joel is an essential cog in the Philadelphia 76ers machine. With James Harden leaving the Brooklyn Nets and joining the Sixers, the superstar duo had all the eyes following them. Embiid finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds. He shot just 6-of-21 and had four turnovers. Also now Skip Bayless thinks that he made a wrong choice while picking the Sixers to win the east.
76ers’ Head coach reveals the reasons behind Joel Embiid’s struggle on the court

The Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers talked about Joel Embiid’s injury concerns after the Sixers’ loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. He stated that Embiid suffered plantar fasciitis during the offseason, and it refrained his capability to train. Earlier, Embiid had undergone surgeries on both hands to repair the torn ligament on his shooting hand and an injury to the non-dominant index finger.
His off-color performance in both matches showed that he was struggling with something. Joel Embiid averaged 20.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 5.0 turnovers in both games. His biggest concern was his consistency, as he shot just 15-39 (38.5%) from the field and 2-9 (22.2%) from the three-point line.
There is a long season ahead for him, and the Philadelphia fans hope that he makes amends for his issues and returns more robust to the court. He and James Harden have the mettle to lead the Sixers to a championship title.
