“Throw Giannis Antetokounmpo Out” Skip Bayless lashes out at the league for their partial behavior

Skip Bayless lashes out at referees and Giannis Anntetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics have turned up the heat with neither side backing down. The Bucks won the first game in the series in Boston, but the Celtics struck back and took Game 2. On Saturday, it was Milwaukee’s turn to respond in Game 3, and that’s exactly what they did. With Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the offense, the Bucks were able to squeeze out a 103-101 victory over the Celtics to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

The “Greek Freak” lived up to his name and was phenomenal in the game, as he finished with 42 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. It was his 6th career 40-plus point playoff performance, which is twice as many as any other player in the entire history of Milwaukee Bucks.

Nevertheless, can any player skip the radar of Skip Bayless? impossible, as Skip blasted at Giannis after his foul on Jayson Tatum. The play occurred with 8 minutes left before halftime, as Giannis attempted to block Tatum from attacking the rim while in transition. It was a forgettable night for Jason Tatum as he couldn’t find his groove as he did in Game 2 of the series. In 41 minutes of action, Tatum scored just 10 points while shooting a putrid 4-for-19 from the floor and 0-for-6 from long range

“Giannis Antetokounmpo should be suspended” says Bayless

Giannis had a great game, bouncing back from his dismal outing in Game 2, where the Bucks lost 99-79. The game featured a dramatic ending that saw the Celtics fail to convert a pair of attempts to tie the game in the dying seconds. A successful tip from Al Horford came just after the final buzzer sounded. Skip Bayless didn’t seem too pleased with Antetokounmpo though. He wasn’t happy with Giannis fouling Jayson Tatum and not being issued a flagrant on the play, potentially even getting ejected out of the game. Bayless tweeted regarding this:

It seemed like Antetokounmpo was trying to reach for the ball, but the angle made it difficult for him to do so, which led to him colliding with Tatum’s . Tatum took a hard fall and immediately clutched his injured his wrist. The match officials reviewed the play and didn’t consider it a flagrant foul, however it was clear Tatum was hurting as he eventually got up and took the free throw. Skip has not been a fan of the referees this playoffs season with him objecting to Draymond Green’s and Dillon Brooks’s ejection in the Warriors vs Grizzlies series.

Skip believes that Giannis should have been ejected for that but the NBA are just favoring their ‘superstars’ by protecting them more than the others. Although his foul unintentionally hurt Tatum, there was little resemblance to the foul Dillon Brooks got ejected for. Jayson Tatum has had issues with his wrist in the past as he revealed in his post-game press conference.

“It’s something I’ve been dealing with for probably like two months now, It wasn’t anything abnormal, when I fall on it, it bothers me, but nothing that I haven’t been dealing with the last couple months.”

Tatum was spotted with some wrap on his left wrist after the Game 2 win over the Bucks. He shrugged it off then, saying his trainer was “excessive” with the wrap job. However, it’s clear that’s something he’ll have to monitor going forward. The series has been intense and extremely physical, with the officiating also being up and down so far .

The teams have left it all out on the floor, especially on the defensive side of the ball throughout the first three games. Skip wanting Giannis to be suspended is just another day at the office for Skip, as for Giannis he will take the last second victory. The Focus moves to Game 4 now, will it be revenge for the Celtics or glory for the Bucks, an enthralling encounter awaits !
