Skip Bayless DISCLOSES Joel Embiid played through knee ligament tear against Boston Celtics
Skip Bayless reveals the reason behind the display of poor performance by Joel Embiid.
Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid
Skip Bayless is unexpectedly going easy on Joel Embiid and not ripping him apart for the poor performance he displayed in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Boston Celtics knocked out the Philadelphia 76ers from contention with a blowout dub of 112-88.
Joel Embiid has once again disappointingly failed to get past the second round of the Eastern Conference. The duo of his with James Harden is no good and even he has accepted the bitter truth after the Game 7 loss. Also, the Sixers’ front office this season is going to be a bit busy with some key decisions to be made.
Skip Bayless who’s one of the best haters out there in the business gave Joel Embiid a pass. And, he has very understandable reasons for doing that. Joel Embiid this postseason averaged 23.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. But let’s not forget that he has played through an injury and never really completely healed from it. And, Skip Bayless recently disclosed that Joel Embiid played through a knee ligament tear against the Boston Celtics.
Disclosing the information, Skip Bayless quoted, “I am gonna give Joel a small pass here because I know from the highest source in that franchise that I know. That he has a what was described to me as a small tear in the knee ligament. Small, big I don’t care. Once you get a tear it’s aggravating. They are tryna debate now whether we let it heal now or do we need to go in there and try to fix it. And, they are gonna figure that out in a couple of weeks.”
Skip Bayless also gave Jayson Tatum his well-deserved flowers for the best Game 7 performance in the league’s history. Joel Embiid has been backed by Skip Bayless, but none of it actually matters. The injury is understandable, but the Sixers had a deep team and a real shot at the title. They were up 3-2 and threw it all away, and now none of it matters. The future of the franchise is also confusing, as they’ll be making many hard decisions this off-season.

Is it the end of Joel Embiid and James Harden’s duo?
The Philadelphia 76ers will be making a lot of changes to their rosters via trades, signings, and waivers this offseason. But their most important decision would be around the duo of James Harden and Joel Embiid. And, clearly, pairing them up hasn’t brought any success to the organization; even though Joel Embiid bagged the MVP award, he has yet to lead the team to the conference finals. Also, James Harden isn’t the same guy and is a superstar just on some days; otherwise, he plays like a roleplayer.
After the unfortunate Game 7 loss where James Harden was limited to only 9 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, Joel Embiid who recorded 15 points went on to say, “James Harden and I can’t win alone.” Also, the rumors of James Harden reuniting with the Houston Rockets are back and alive. So the chances of him declining his player option with the Sixers which is worth $36 million and signing with the Rockets are very high.
After years of failure or steps to success maybe it’s an end for the duo which many claimed to be like Kobe and Shaq. But now we know Joel Embiid and Sixers need another star even if James Harden stays back.
