“I would knock Draymond out if he would have the guts to face me” Skip Bayless disrespects Draymond Green by calling himself a better 3-point shooter
Draymond Green and Skip Bayless
Skip Bayless wants to settle it for once with the reigning world champion Draymond Green. The offer is public now, on the table, there to be accepted, but Skip Bayless is willing to face Draymond in a specific manner. In a war of words or a three-point shooting contest, the decision is Green.
After winning the 4th Championship, Golden State Warriors’ forward had started a “New Media” vs “Old Media” war – thrashing the conventional “talk-shows” for tarnishing players’ reputations without any actual game knowledge. 70-year- old Skip is very hurt by those comments as he was Draymond’s no. 1 target and received most of the criticism from the face of “New media”. Making it a personal affair, very recently Skip asks to face him in a 3-point contest.
Well, debate on Stephen curry or LeBron James was the 1st choice given by Skip, but Draymond refused to have any words with Bayless, as he feels that he would make Skip look very very bad. So, Bayless comes up with a much easier option – a three-point shooting contest. Which he claims to be very good at and would beat the Warriors front man.
Fans would want to see the 32-year-old four-time NBA champion take on a 70-year-old hot-take artist in a three-point contest; as they are quite aware of the “words power” both possesses, but it won’t be fair on any level (age, practice, respect) what-so-ever. Now, it seems more likely that Green will just fire back on his podcast, continuing this empty back-and-forth of jabs – probably making fun of the offer.
Skip Bayless looks serious about getting one-on-one against Draymond Green on or off the court.
The “Old Media” vs “New Media” war rocked the web world after Draymond Green returned favors to his doubters and haters from the media world. Former Michigan State star took the center stage after winning his 4th NBA Championship in 2022. He took over every analyst who doubted the Warriors and Draymond for the title this season.
Skip Bayless was on top of the list, who took most of the heat from Draymond. In the latest shot on The Draymond Green podcast last week, claiming the Fox Sports host has had his career saved multiple times by Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe. Bayless responded with a tweet, challenging the Golden State Warriors forward to a debate duel on a player of Draymond’s choice between LeBron James or Stephen Curry. And after getting rejected for the same, Bayless doubled down on his offer in his latest podcast episode, daring Green to accept the 3-point shooting challenge.
“I would knock Draymond out if he would have the guts to face me on this podcast or on his,” Bayless said on the Skip Bayless show “I would knock him out if he would face me and verbally spar with me on either podcast. Just the two of us, battle royal, new media vs real media.”
“You play basketball, Draymond, I did not play past high school,” Bayless continued as he was about to touch the basketball knowledge aspect. “Though, I’m pretty sure I’m a better three-point shooter than you are, even now. Let’s talk some hardcore hoops, how bout it, Draymond? Or heck, you’re new media, let’s talk National Football League! Let’s talk whatever, whenever, however, you call it, I’ll be there. I’m talking about real talk, Draymond, not this fake tough guy bluster of yours. I’m not running, I’m daring. Draymond, I honestly think you’re afraid to face me. So prove me wrong.”
New media vs old media has already taken some strange and unexpected twists since Green launched his crusade against older journalists about two months ago. But Skip made it “New Media vs Real Media” which again is an additional point he gave Draymond to crack upon. We will be looking for Draymond’s response as he never keeps any topic unfinished.
