The basketball world recently celebrated Dwyane Wade’s illustrious career as he was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. Chris Bosh and Carmelo Anthony were examples of the many legends and former players who attended the occasion. However, one significant figure was absent: Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
Fans quickly noted James’ absence, expressing their surprise on various platforms. Sports analyst, Skip Bayless, addressed the issue on his podcast, “The Skip Bayless Show.” While reading out fan comments, Bayless shared his views.
“I have no idea why LeBron James was not at Dwyane Wade’s HOF ceremony, or his after-part” Bayless said. “I am 99.9% sure LeBron was not there, and that shocked me. I found that extremely odd. I thought LeBron and D Wade were extremely close, as in big-brother-little brother close…. I am sorry, I am going to ask the question, Where was LeBron?”
Bayless later speculated that perhaps a prior commitment had kept the Lakers’ star away. He dismissed the idea of any possible feud between the two basketball giants, noting that James had offered his congratulations to Wade on social media.
LeBron James’ heartfelt tribute to Dwyane Wade
Despite not being physically present at the ceremony, LeBron James ensured that his feelings were known. Taking to Instagram, James posted a touching tribute to Wade.
In his post, LeBron celebrated Wade’s monumental achievement, “Today is the official day my brother @dwyanewade goes into the HOF!!!!! WOW WOW WOW bro!! Man I can’t say enough how proud and happy I am of/for you.”
The two basketball icons have shared a close friendship since their time with the Miami Heat. James’s heartfelt tribute stands proof of their enduring bond, formed over intense games, championships, and countless shared memories.
