Skip Bayless in SHOCKING turn of events considers LeBron James advance his all-time Top 10 rankings
Skip Bayless feels LeBron James needs another NBA title to go above Larry Bird on his all-time list

LeBron James
Skip Bayless has frequently criticized LeBron James throughout his career, but after last night’s performance, even the Undisputed co-host was moved. LeBron James scored 22 points to add to his 20 rebounds in a historic game 4 overtime win against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Los Angeles Lakers took a commanding 3-1 series lead with a 117-111 win at the crypto.com arena.
Skip Bayless lauded LeBron on the Skip Bayless Show, saying – “If, and it’s a big IF, LeBron carries the Lakers to another title, I could see him jumping to 8th on my all-time Top 10 list.” Bayless has put heavy expectations on LeBron to win another championship in his 20th season, but right now, the Lakers look as good as any team in the Western Conference.
Before the trade deadline, the Lakers were the 13th seed with minimal hopes of a playoff spot and now see themselves 3-1 up against the #2 seed. LeBron James will still have to potentially go through the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns in his quest to win a championship. However, fans would feel Bayless having James 8th all-time after a ring in his 20th season would be underrating him.

Skip Bayless currently has LeBron James ninth on his all-time list despite record-breaking career

Bayless revealed his all-time list while the NBA announced their 75th Anniversary players list last season. To no one’s surprise, Bayless had Michael Jordan #1 on his list while LeBron James languished in ninth place right above Wilt Chamberlain. He has been a long-time critic of LeBron, painting him a playoff choker despite James having the most playoff wins ever.
James has lived in the playoff for most of his career with ten trips to the NBA Finals, and Skip Bayless wants another one to put him at 8th all-time. Bayless’ critique of James stems from his meltdown in the 2011 NBA Finals, where the Miami Heat blew a 2-0 series lead to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals. James himself has admitted that the series was one of the worst performances of his career.
However, LeBron also spearheaded the only team in NBA history to return from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals in 2016 against the 73-9 Golden State Warriors. If the Lakers win their series, they could run into Golden State in the second round, which would match up Stephen Curry and Lebron James in the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
