“It’s a legacy crusher,” Skip Bayless left frustrated after Stephen Curry wanted a reunion with Kevin Durant
Skip Bayless, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry
Sports analyst Skip Bayless is not happy with Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry’s comments on his ex-teammate and Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant. Curry recently revealed that he pushed the Warriors management to get back KD to the Warriors roster, with whom he won two championships. Skip Bayless discussed it all on the latest episode of ‘Undisputed,’ a Fox Sports debate show.

Skip Bayless said, “How as a top 10 player could you then, after you went by yourself and led a team as you finally broke through to win your first Finals MVP, how could you publicly admit, ‘oh yeah, hell yeah, I pushed for us to go get Kevin and reacquire him, he’s a good dude.’ He added, “Well, all that sounds good, but it doesn’t help your legacy. It’s a legacy crusher because he’s saying like, ‘I can’t really win another one without him, I need him to come.”
Skip Bayless has always questioned Steph Curry’s character in the championship run of the warriors in 2017 and 2018. He believes that KD played a considerable role, much bigger than what Curry had for the warriors. But Steph Curry shut all such critics and won the title last season without KD, which proved his mettle.
Golden State Warriors backing themselves to defend the title

The Golden State Warriors made a solid return to the NBA league by winning last season after having a disastrous 2020 campaign. They successfully made five consecutive Finals appearances and won three out of them. Many believed the Warriors were an incomplete team after Kevin Durant’s exit. But Steph Curry successfully led the team with the likes of Draymond Green and Klay Thompson to create a new saga. They have proved that they can win without Kevin Durant on the team. They have a well-shaped roster and a solid balance of youth and veteran players, making them strong contenders to defend their title this season and for many coming seasons. The Warriors play their first match against the Los Angeles Lakers on October 19.
