“I’m demoralized watching him not play” Skip Bayless questions if Jimmy Butler’s downfall in form could be because of an internal issue within Heat
Skip Bayless and Jimmy Butler
From leading his team with 40-point maestro in Game 1, to failing to inspire his team in Game 5 at home, Jimmy Butler has seen it all in the Eastern Conference Finals. Given that the Boston Celtics have taken a 3-2 lead in the EC Finals, Ime Udoka’s team could potentially send out Miami Heat in Game 6 at TD Garden. Looking at the downfall of 6xAll-Star, Skip Bayless questioned if there are any internal issues within the Heat organization.
Jimmy Butler is known to be a leader who wears his heart on his sleeve, especially while being on the court. And in the previous two games, Butler has managed to score only 6 (Game 4) and 13 (Game 5) points respectively. With Celtics clearly showing their impact on the defensive end, Butler has found no answers to stop the wrath of the opposition players.
Jimmy Butler failing to fire in Eastern Conference Finals
On the most recent episode of Undisputed, Bayless went onto discuss Miami Heat and in particular Jimmy Butler and stated, “I have no idea what’s going on with Jimmy Butler? Is it internal or is it internal just in his knees?… I don’t know what’s wrong with him, but something for the last two games has been very wrong with Jimmy Buckets, Playoff Jimmy.
“I’m demoralized watching him not play. Because he plays but he doesn’t play. You wanna talk about timid? You wanna talk about lack of aggression? I can’t even recognize Jimmy Butler in the last game and a half.”
In the EC Finals, Kyle Lowry and Bam Adebayo have consistently failed to fire. Moreover, Tyler Herro has found himself not being part of the action in the previous two games, courtesy to his respective injury. Erik Spoelstra has found no major help form the players coming off the bench. Victor Oladipo has been decent but hasn’t been able to help PJ Tucker and Jimmy Butler in finding open spaces in the paint. Gabe Vincent too, hasn’t failed to impress. Furthermore, with chemistry lacking big time in the Miami Heat side, all modern-day NBA fans are questioning the lack in their intensity throughout the course of four quarters.
Will we witness the Boston Celtics winning the Conference Finals in Game 6 itself, or are we going to witness a Game 7 to decide the ultimate conference champ? Remains to be seen.
