The Golden State Warriors seemed to be the first team to book their slot in the conference finals after they took a comfortable 3-1 lead against Memphis Grizzlies. With the latter team’ star Ja Morant being side-lined for probably the rest of the playoffs, it seemed like Draymond Green and Co. are going to cruise to victory in Game 5. But the reality was in-turn different.

The Warriors were down by as many as 55-points at one point in Game 5, and went onto eventually lose the game by more than 35 points. On the same note, sports media personality Skip Bayless went onto urge Draymond Green as the ‘MVP’ if the Grizzlies find motivation to overturn this series in their favor. Because he feels it is surely because of the former MVP, that Baby Grizz have found the motivation to storm back.

Did Draymond Green trigger Memphis Grizzlies to unleash potential?

70-year-old, Skip Bayless reacted to the victory, stating that the Grizzlies must have been motivated by the constant trash talk meted towards them by Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

“If somehow, miraculously, the Memphis Grizzlies scratch and claw back into this from 3-1 down and win the series. Draymond Green will be their MVP, because he has given them endless inspiration with all his condescending trash talk.”

From the Whoop the Trick diss to Memphis Dancers actually dancing on the face of Stephen Curry, Green has seen it all on the away court. The humiliation has been at its peak for the former champions, but will they be able to close the series? It remains to be one of the biggest speculations in the playoffs.

Stephen Curry would be looking to bring his A-Game to the table if the Warriors are to close out the series against Ja Morant less Grizzlies? Will there be more drama? Will we witness the other semi-final series heading to Game 7 as well? Remains to be seen.
