Kevin Durant and Skip Bayless

One on hand where Skip Bayless has often rattled his opinions against LeBron James, the 70-year-old analyst has often praised Kevin Durant and regarded him as one of the most skilled players to have ever played in the league, on many occasions. However the Brooklyn Nets marquee hasn’t always adored this love from Bayless and even went onto state how he doesn’t like him.

On the latest episode of the Skip Bayless Show, Bayless spoke about the same and even emphasized how Kevin Durant displayed signs of being mentally weak as the Brooklyn Nets were clean swept by the Boston Celtics in the first-round series against all odds. What more did he opinionate, take a look below.

“I got to tell you, Kevin Durant is the weirdest dude I have ever tried to figure out, he’s a shrink’s dream and maybe my worst nightmare. He’s so gifted. He’s so tall, and so long. Yet, he’s so confoundingly complex, so predictably unpredictable.

“What just happened to Kevin Durant, what we all just witnessed, I thought would happen a long time ago. Kevin Durant crumbled psychologically, and his thin skin became his fatal playoff flaw. And he is the thinnest skinned superstar.”

Kevin Durant has faced heaps of criticism after being clean swept by the Boston Celtics in the first-round of the playoffs and that includes Skip Bayless as well. With the latter following KD since his college days, he surely has witnessed the rise of the Slim Reaper in the league. That being said, in the end, the sports analyst settled that his praises were probably too much pressure for KD, which could be the reason the two-time NBA champ has not received the compliments with open arms.

All eyes will now be on Brooklyn Nets’ management and how they equip Durant with more lethal weapons on the backend. With Kyrie, Seth Curry and Patty Mills in fine form throughout the 2021-22 season, what changes will the Nets make in order to contest for the championship next season? Remains to be seen.
