“He gets an F, that was an epic fail” Skip Bayless singles-out Stephen Curry for Warriors loss against Celtics in Game 1

Stephen Curry and Skip Bayless
After the Warriors’ 120-108 defeat to the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, Skip Bayless, who has slammed Stephen Curry for nearly his entire career, piled it on. Some fans and analysts blamed Curry for the Golden State Warriors‘ Game 1 defeat to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. Despite scoring 34 points in the game, he has been accused of not doing enough to help his team win.
Stephen Curry’s Game 1 performance vs Celtics

Curry made a statement right away, scoring 21 points in the first quarter. After then, he calmed down, but the harm had already been done. The chef was a big reason why the Warriors were in such a good position to win, and he wasn’t too much of a reason why they crumbled late in the game. Boston devoted all of their defensive attention to Curry late in the game, challenging anybody else to defeat them.
Stephen Curry pushed the matter a little since the Warriors’ role players were failing to score, but that will be the case in future games when others are performing better.
Skip Bayless on Game 1.
On Friday’s broadcast of the “Undisputed”, Bayless addressed Golden State’s postseason failures against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 Finals and the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 Finals, despite Curry’s game-high 34 points. “On the biggest stage, in the biggest moments, he displays no clutch gene,” Bayless said. “… So what do I see? I see that the greatest shooter ever is the greatest until the stakes are highest. And then he’s nowhere near the greatest.”
Steph Curry’s performance on the night received an F from Bayless as he added that his performance was an epic fail for a player who many consider to be an all-time great.

Shannon Sharpe with his take on Curry’s performance.

Sharpe rated Curry an A-minus on “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed”. “I gave him an A-minus, because I thought he played really, really well. He just needed someone to go along with him. He needed Jordan Poole, and that’s normally what happens. He normally gets Jordan Poole to go along with him.” Sharpe added: “I thought he was well on his way to a 50-point ball game, considering he had 21 in the first quarter.“
Can Golden State Warriors make a comeback against Boston Celtics in Game 2?

The series will travel to Boston for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday, with Game 2 taking place at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday. Golden State hasn’t lost two games in a row in the playoffs and will seek to keep that streak alive. Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors has yet to earn a Finals MVP award, while there are numerous reasons why he hasn’t been able to win the honor, there are a few that stands out.
Curry has been blamed of not being consistent in the finals on several occasions.
