“Does wine and tequila count in nutrition?” Skip Bayless warns LeBron James to take care of his body at 37
Skip Bayless and LeBron James
LeBron James has got fans all around the world but surely nobody follows and observes him like one particular sports media personality. Skip Bayless never misses any single activity of LeBron James and uses it to target him. Now he uses LeBron’s offseason food consumption to taunt the King.
LeBron James is known to be one of the fittest athletes in the NBA who has taken care of his body. Even at the age of 37, LBJ is still one of the strongest athletes in the world and certainly on the basketball court. After the poor 2022 season, Los Angeles Lakers players are looking to get back on track and challenge for the Larry O’Brien trophy in the upcoming NBA seasons. One of the contenders for the 2022 season finished a disastrous 33-49 record and LeBron James as a leader wouldn’t love that. While James is expected to play his 20th season in Los Angeles, he played very limited games and still made a huge impact as always. But his recent photos and videos raised doubts in Skip’s mind and he asked some harsh questions to ‘the king’.
On “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed,” analyst Skip Bayless said that as James ages, he’s going to need to make sure to watch his health carefully. And his recent vacation, parting photos contradict Skip’s expectations.
Skip Bayless advises LeBron James on some healthcare
Skip Bayless has one major target on the basket court and that’s LeBron James. The NBA superstar is heavily criticized by 70-years old analysts and brought into any discussion for comparison purposes or even for shooting jibs at him for social activities.
In a recent episode of Undisputed, Skip took the opportunity to advise LeBron over his offseason routine. “I’m gonna give LeBron my two cents worth of warning,” Bayless said. “The older you get, the harder you have to work out to stay in shape. He’s going to have to go harder. You gotta watch closer and closer what you put in your body. … Does wine and tequila count in nutrition?“
“You’ve got to be careful. … The longer you go, if you want to have staying power, you got to be very moderate in your intake. I hope he is. It won’t get easier. It’ll only get harder.” Skip added with sort of noble counseling.
James who had one of the best offensive seasons of his career ended the 2022 season with 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game average while shooting 52.4% from the field. It will be interesting to watch what LeBron brings to the table in coming seasons and how well he can keep himself fit and motivated with 17-time world champions Los Angeles Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James should start the 2023 season on a positive note
Throughout the 2022 season, James was very impactful for the team – as always, but the team will need to make some drastic changes if they want to have a chance for an NBA championship. The Lakers hired a new head coach to lead them to the desired position and LeBron’s leadership could be an added advantage for them.
In James’ four seasons in Los Angeles, he has missed 2 postseasons, as many as he missed in the other 15 seasons on the court. He will need to get ready for upcoming challenges and with the league getting better every coming season, 4-time Finals MVP shall listen to Skip’s advice to be competitive enough.
