“Draymond Green still considers KD a b*tch” Skip Bayless weighs in on Draymond’s Twitter battle with Kevin Durant ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals
Skip Bayless defends Kevin Durant against Draymond Green
Draymond Green, just like Skip Bayless, cannot miss headlines even for a day, as he now got involved with former Golden State Warriors teammate, Kevin Durant, in a war of words on Twitter. Kevin Durant and Draymond Green are having a go at each other, as they discuss their Finals runs together. The main topic of controversy Stephen Curry still doesn’t have any Finals MVPs because of the sheer volume double-teams against him, while the Brooklyn Nets star who left the Golden State Warriors to prove himself, has 2 Rings and 2 Finals MVPs. The topic of Stephen Curry having to validate himself for his greats is already trending, and Skip Bayless would like to add a thing or two.
Kevin Durant may have had the most upsetting seasons among all the players in the NBA. The Brooklyn Nets was formed with the intention of making an immediate championship run but their dreams were shattered by teams simply much stronger than them chemistry wise. Sadly, they are out of the playoff race after getting swept in the first round.
KD’s former team, The Golden State Warriors, have rallied behind their King in the West, Stephen Curry, and laid waste to Mavericks’ hopes of conquering the Western Conference. Luka Doncic was spectacular but still not enough for the Golden State Warriors, as the defense of Dallas collapsed under the unstoppable force of the Warriors. Golden State Warriors won the Western Conference Title and made it into the NBA finals for the 6th time with a similar core in the last eight seasons. Despite all this, Draymond still seems to be pissed at KD for some reason.

“Kevin Durant cannot be discredited like this by Draymond Green” – Skip Bayless
Draymond Green in the podcast with Colin Cowherd talking about the Finals MVPs, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry quoted: “Steph Curry comes down and he calls for a pick and roll every time nobody is going to say a word including Kevin Durant himself. That’s not who he is that’s not what he does…KD was absolutely insane. Stephen Curry got double-teamed probably seven times the amount that KD did in the given series… so his numbers can be down and by the way, this isn’t the double team by Orlando Magic… you are in the finals really double teams…elite teams with elite defenders.”
Kevin Durant didn’t agree with Draymond Green at all as a fan asking for the podcast being true got a reply from the Nets’ superstar who got swept by the Celtics in the first round. He in the tweet quoted: “From my view of it, this is 100% false…” He is even replying to the fans trolling him out as they come up with numbers of double teams he faced and Stephen Curry faced during the finals.
“So I want to remind Kevin, if he’s watching right now that, some people call Draymond the ‘Head of Golden State Snake’ and sometimes you could say maybe he’s more snake than head of snakes. I believe, Kevin Durant if you’re watching right now, I believe that deep down at the bottom of Draymond’s heart, he still considers you the ‘b word’ in the end.
“Draymond’s saying you know what, I got to give Steph all my love and I’ve got no problem with that because we are on the verge of a big NBA finals clash, with the number one defensive team so I get it that he’s going to defend his little brother on his team with all of his might because Kevin Durant didn’t even win a single playoff game this year” Skip said, defending Kevin Durant, saying we cannot forget what we achieved for the Golden State Warriors while he was there.
Many people believe that Kevin Durant may have quit on the Warriors after witnessing hell break loose on their physical health versus the Toronto Raptors in 2019. Eventually he spoke about his departure saying, “I felt like it was time for a change. I wanted to play for a new team.” He also said he did not worry about what he was leaving or even the winning situation he was in at that point.
Fans are enjoying the back and forth and now are waiting for KD to reply back once again. They are out with the trolls and are also appreciating the side they back in the exchange. Draymond Green and the Warriors would want to leave all the off-court banter behind them and put their entire focus into the grandest stage of the NBA, the NBA Finals. Its their 6th Finals appearance in 8 seasons, which depicts the extent of the dynasty the Warriors have build over the past decade. Will Draymond and the Warriors have the last laugh, and wipe the ghost of Kevin Durant’s absence? Game 1 awaits.
