Skip Bayless trolls LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers with a series of tweets after losing against the Sacramento Kings

LeBron James has had quite a few critics during his 21 seasons in the NBA. However, none is stronger than a certain Skip Bayless. Bayless has always sniped at every opportunity to troll the King. Today, it was no different, when the Sacramento Kings trounced James’ Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers came into the game after having a stellar run of 10-4 since the start of February. So it was natural that they would try and carry the momentum against their fellow playoff-contending Kings. At the end of the 1st quarter, it seemed like the Lakers had the Kings number. But in the 2nd quarter, the Kings exploded for 44 points to finish the half 72-57.

Skip Bayless instantly tweeted out the situation writing:

I just watched an amazing development. The Lakers were up 19 on the Kings late first quarter. Now, at half, the Lakers trail 72-59. THEY GAVE UP A 54-20 RUN AT HOME. The Kings are the King's daddy.

Bayless has definitely skewed the numbers. The Sacramento Kings trailed the Lakers by 9 in the 1st quarter, not 19 as Bayless suggests.

Skip Bayless has a history of going after the Lakers superstar. His main critique of James is that he claims to be the GOAT, despite not having a GOAT-ish career. For Bayless, James’ resume so far lacks the titles and Finals MVPs to match that of Bayless’ favorite GOAT, Michael Jordan.

Bayless has pushed this narrative in every smidge of a chance he gets. Often calling out LeBron James for not having the killer mentality of Jordan. Bayless also is not a big fan of the records James has set over the years. He has often cited James’ height and weight advantage over Jordan as working against the narrative.

Skip Bayless was not done taunting LeBron James

Crucially, LeBron James left the game with 3:56 remaining in regulation, after tweaking his left ankle. But that did not stop Bayless from sending out another tweet aimed at James and the Lakers, writing:

Bayless was not entirely wrong as the Kings solidified their defense in the 2nd half to deny the Lakers from starting any resurgent run. The Los Angeles Lakers were hapless and could not do anything to stop the Kings from winning their 6th of 7 games against them.

The 44-point run in the 2nd quarter did all the damage for the Los Angeles Lakers. From that point onwards, the Lakers could not go on a run against the Kings in the final 2 quarters of the game. Ultimately the Lakers lost the game 130-120 to the Sacramento Kings.

Although Bayless does appreciate James ever so rarely, his barrage of criticisms never seems to stop. That makes Skip Bayless one of LeBron James’ strongest critics ever. And he will criticize the Lakers as long as James is with them.
