American online personal financial and banking company SoFi has recently announced that it will become the sole banking partner of the NBA. The new-generation banking company is based out of San Fransisco. This is a big move from the traditional banks the NBA has partnered with since its inception. SoFi added another major statement to close the night. They announced their partnership with Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum and his Foundation, committing $1 million annually to help single-parent families. This announcement brought out some reactions from basketball fans.

Jayson Tatum was brought up in a single-parent family. He has always said that his mother raised him from birth alone and has been the driving force in his life. Tatum understands the plight a single parent goes through when bringing up their children alone in this world. He started his foundation to provide better resources to single parents who are struggling to meet basic needs. This is why SoFi decided to join hands with him.

He wants single parents to be able to provide for the needs of their children so that the children can have a better future.
