The San Antonio Spurs legend Manu Ginobili made an appearance on Tony Parker’s podcast. In the episode, Ginobili made his case that the Spurs’ current rookie phenom, Victor Wembanyama, is still 19 years old despite being the No. 1 draft pick for the team.

Although the Frenchman’s future is bright in the league as per his performance in his very first NBA season, Ginobili suggest that fans should normalize their expectations for the star player. Victor Wembanyama was the San Antonio Spurs’ very first pick in this year’s NBA draft lottery.

Wembanyama was a major prospect for every team in the NBA before his draft. The Spurs could make it to the line when they won his draft pick on lottery day and signed him. But Manu Ginobili makes a solid case that definitely says that he has great potential to be one of the best in the NBA but entrusting a team’s fate with a player of his age makes it very far-fetched.

There's never been anybody like him. But what I always say is he's still a kid. You gotta be patient. He's going to be extraordinary, but there's work to be done. There's a process. Expecting him to take us to the playoffs or Finals right away doesn't make any sense."

The San Antonio Spurs’ vision to rebuild the team’s roster this NBA season is sure to come to fruition with Victor Wembanyama on the roster. Wembanyama’s game with the Spurs is nothing but fine play. With him averaging 19.7 points per game, including 8.8 rebounds, he displayed his unfathomable skills.

He has already made NBA fans and experts expect him to win his first award as the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year. However, when fans look at the team, the Spurs have to pick up their position in the Western Conference in regards to their poor offense, as they are now placed in the 13th position.

Tom Brady in the podcast said that he was delighted to meet the no.1 draft pick of the Spurs and said that to his surprise Wembanyama was so tall and that made the former NFL player stunned.

I've never looked at someone at their shoulder. He would say you meet him face to face, but I met him face to shoulder. See, he was so tall, and he stood up and he just keeps rising and he's just a really nice young man, very mature... similar to what you just experienced with CJ Stroud.
