Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic encountered each other for the first time since last year’s punching incident, but it seemed they still hadn’t reconciled. This became apparent throughout Saturday night as the Golden State Warriors claimed victory at Chase Center. Following the game, Nurkic had plenty to say about Green’s behavior. However, Stephen Curry casually put an end to all the noise.
Jusuf Nurkic and Draymond Green’s feud traces back to the notorious punch that resulted in an NBA-imposed original indefinite suspension which eventually resulted in a 12-game absence for Draymond Green. Nurkic had initially shown support for Green by calling for help after his ejection but when they met last night, he ended up retracting his words following another intense altercation. An incident that didn’t seem to please Steph Curry.
During a post-game press conference, the four-time NBA champion had this to say when asked about the incident between both players.
It's easy to throw stones across the way. We have no idea what you’re talking about. Especially when you kinda on the wrong side of it tonight. You can tell when somebody is in your head when you go out of your way to celebrate when he did that 'little too small thing'. Funny how the refs didn’t see that. Draymond was in his head. Plain and simple.Stephen Curry at the post game press conference
While both sets of fans were thrilled about the on-court battle between Green and Nurkic, it didn’t diminish the excitement from what was an electrifying game at the Chase Center. The Warriors secured a late 113-112 victory, thanks to a Steph Curry masterclass.
