When we hear about rapper-NBA players, it is Damian Lillard and Lonzo Ball that we think of, and not necessarily Steph Curry. Nevertheless, sharpshooter Warriors also had his rapping talent on one track at a particular time.

About 14 years ago when he was preparing for NBA teams ahead of the draft, Stephen Curry made the courageous decision to try one of the biggest projects he had ever taken up. Rhyming over beats was his job and even though he didn’t get the Rocafella record deal, his short time as a hip-hop artist gave us the YouTube present that won’t leave planet Earth until the final server goes pop.

Curry contributes two lyrics to the song, which are:

That commons last night was awfully crazy I stayed there so late/ Some chocolate fro-yo, big head burrito, I had bout three plates, Eat chic parm and drink my coke, chill with friends and crack some jokes/ Arrive at 5, kicked out at 8, and that concludes this commons date, Man, I love commons.

When asked about the rapping experience, Curry stated:

This is probably one of the coolest things I’ve done during college...I mean, going to the Elite Eight was great, but this.

His rapping ability might be nothing compared to his amazing shooting ability but still seeing Curry trying rap is quite entertaining. Curry indicated that the main message of the video was to thank Davidson College workers for putting up effort.
