Many expected Phoenix Suns to be a –one-season-magic after they lost the NBA Finals against Milwaukee Bucks. With the stakes getting hire, Chris Paul and Devin Booker came out with vengeance on their sleeves in the 2021-22 season. Managing to rank themselves as the best team in the Western Conference.

Ahead of their Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans, sports media personality, Stephen A. Smith believes that if there is any team who could bring down the mighty Chris Paul and Devin Booker led Phoenix Suns, it is the Golden State Warriors, who themselves are a couple of wins away from securing a second-round ticket.

On one of NBA’s favorite talk-show, First Take, Stephen A. Smith lauded the Golden State Warriors after their blowout win in Game 2, saying, “The Phoenix Suns are on a different level, and they are clearly the team to beat, but if there is one team in the National Basketball Association who can take them out, it would be the Golden State Warriors.”

Those who might have witnessed the depth in roster and strength in flexibility of the Warriors, would be aware that their lineup consists of three guards – Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and new-stud, Jordan Poole. While All-Star Andrew Wiggins shifts to the power forward position and Draymond Green plays the small-ball center.

Given Warriors first-round series, the praise surely falls upon the shoulder of coach Steve Kerr. He deployed his best line0up so far, blowing the minds of everyone watching the game. When you have the three-guard line-up of Curry, Poole and Thompson on the floor, it becomes increasingly difficult to double-team the perimeter, and one has to pick their poison.

But will the Warriors be able to perform against the mighty Phoenix Suns, who have outwitted each and every team in the 2021-22 season? Remains to be seen, whether Stephen A. Smith’s opinion is able to hold water.
