While talking on NBA Today, Stephen A. Smith said it is the top priority of the President of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jeanie Buss, to keep LeBron James happy. She supported LeBron James during his incumbency with the team and did not hesitate to call him “the closest thing to a superhero”, once in 2021.

She told me months ago: her number one priority is for LeBron James to be happy. Because losing, winning just 33 games and being 16 games under .500. Her number one priority was making sure to put a smile on his face because she knows it’s entwined with winning. If he ain’t winning, he ain’t gonna be happy. That’s her priority… to make him happy.”
