Stephen A Smith didn’t hold himself in giving his clear-cut opinions on Kevin Durant, who has had to face a lot of criticism regarding his form this playoff, due to which the Brooklyn Nets suffered a terrible loss to the Boston Celtics, getting clean swept by a team that were allegedly the underdogs before entering the series. The Nets, which were a superhuman squad since the beginning of the season, having James Harden and Kyrie Irving alongside Durant himself were known as the Big 3 were expected to be invincible and defeat every team that came in front of them, but now, that seems like a dream which will never become a reality.

His desire to prove himself that he could perform without the support from the Splash Brothers or the rest of the squad did him damage that at this point seems irreversible. He might be the best player in the world but in order to win games he has to work with his teams, for which he has to be trust worthy, which he really isn’t, according to his teams as he takes the mantle on himself to perform when they don’t.

Stephen A then commented on Durant going from the Warriors to the Nets where he wasn’t getting things the way he was used to getting, which justifies the things that are happening in the Nets right now. Smith stated that Durant would have to step up as the leader and make things work around him by trusting the people around him trust himself and trusting them in the same way.
