Smith came in to support the latter and highlighted a few aspects citing mental health issues. He definitely focused on how mental health affects professional players.
Stephen A. Smith quoted, “I can’t wait to see him because people like me and a few others owe this man an apology for not knowing. The reason the story resonated with me is because I had some very negative thoughts when I lost my mother in 2017. It was like this every day for three years. And for that I had to go to therapy because I was so miserable.”
John Wall faced a series of Achilles and heal injuries wherein he lost two valuable years of his career. After this break, the Wizards decided to trade him to Houston, where he was shown the way out, with the Rockets deciding to build a young roster team and citing his form and health issues.
