Stephen Curry and Golden State Warriors
Stephen Curry and co. have their dominant years in the recent past. But as per ESPN’s NBA Analyst Stephen A. Smith, Golden State Warriors can win two titles in the next three seasons, being led by the 3-Point King.
Golden State Warriors were considered to have an outside chance for the NBA championship this season. But young core showed great chemistry with the established players of the team and proved themselves capable of providing very dynamic support on the floor. The Warriors were top of the Western Conference for a while but later finished up the season 2 steps down (third seed) in the final rankings.
Still looking at the young core and years Steph, Klay have left in their Career, Stephen A Smith made bold predictions on the team’s future. As per Smith, the Warriors won’t need any superstar addition to their team and they can win 2 out of 3 titles from the 2023 season.
Stephen A. Smith sees the brightest future of Golden State Warriors
The Warriors have a direct entry in the 2022 postseasons, while they will play against the Denver Nuggets in the 1st round. But instead of commenting on their current chances in title run, a 54-years old analyst predicts the next 3 seasons’ winners.
As per smith, “His (Steph Curry’s) Golden State Warriors team, they’re good too. This is a Warriors team that could win two titles in the next three seasons. That’s right I said it. With Steph shooting the lights out, with Klay Thompson getting back his game after so much time away, with Jordan Poole developing, James Weisman and virtually eventually returning a hundred percent”
Smith also said that the Warriors team is improving fast and the addition of returning Kaminga will put them on top. He sees a great future for Jonathan Kaminga. He added, “Steph got everything he needs and you better believe Steph knows he’s just one ring short of matching LeBron’s force that’s got three remember that just two away from having the most championships of any superstar player from this generation”
Golden State Warriors rise under Stephen Curry
While Golden State Warriors last won their NBA title in 2018, their show was ran by Kevin Durant as well. But the shorthanded team fell short against Toronto Raptors. Since the departure of Kevin Durant, the Warriors invested heavily in young and talented players and trained them to the highest level.
As for Steph Curry, the 34-year-old star has at least 2-3 seasons of great shooting in store, might even go further. Smith says, “We’re talking legacies ladies and gentlemen legacies a competition for rings Steph made it this far without LeBron and now he’s made it clear he can handle things from here as well he’s good.”
If Curry does add 2 rings in the future, he will surpass or equal LeBron James (4 NBA Titles) and could very well be the greatest player of his generation.
