“I wonder who sent them” Stephen A. Smith reveals how cautious he gets when women approach him
Stephen A. Smith
NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith recently revealed that he gets on his toes when ‘females’ approach him. Stephen appeared on Jake Paul’s show, ‘The Breakfast Club,’ where he was asked some quirky questions. Smith even opened up his thoughts about Ime Udoka’s situation and how it can affect his future in the NBA.
Stephen A. Smith said, “They’re gonna come at you in a variety of ways. I’ve been in situations where I’ve been propositioned, covering the NBA playoffs, the NBA Finals, and I’m not saying this is exactly what happened, but I wonder who sent them.” He continued, “Because the women were a little bit too aggressive. I’m like, ‘I don’t look like Godzilla, but I know I ain’t that damn attractive.”
Stephen added, “This is a little bit too aggressive here. I mean, why they’re acting like they got to get with me?’ Something’s fishy about it. I didn’t know, but you had that suspicion and that intuition. You gotta be like, ‘this is a little too good to be true. Something ain’t right about this.” Smith reveals that whenever a lady tries to approach him, he’s meticulous about it, as he has a reputation that many would try to destroy.
Stephen A. Smith believes that Ime Udoka’s scandal shouldn’t have been made public
Boston Celtics’ head coach, Ime Udoka’s scandal spread like fire as soon as the Celtics leaked the news. NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith believes that this scandal wasn’t something to be discussed in the media. Smith opened up about his views on the show and even talked about why he thinks the issue should’ve been kept under wraps.
He stated earlier, “This is a message to the Boston Celtics: I have a problem with you as an organization. If you’re not going to fire him, why the hell do we even know about this? Nobody’s bringing that up. I’m gonna bring it up. What the hell are you telling us for? I’ve been covering the NBA for over a quarter-century and I’m trying to tell you right now, I can’t count the amount of fraternization — or dare I say more — that goes on in practically every damn organization within the National Basketball Association, the NFL, Major League Baseball, the list goes on and on. People get together, they’re working together. That stuff happens all the time. Literally anybody that covers professional sports will tell you that is not new.”
Smith added, “The reason I’m bringing that up is not to excuse anything. Because if you’re talking — especially if it involves married folks, nobody is condoning all of this stuff. That’s not where I’m going here. The issue that I have with the Boston Celtics is that if you’re firing him, you wouldn’t tell us why. So if you’re going to retain him, why let us know now? I have a problem with an organization — this is not about what transpires on the basketball court. This is not basketball decisions. If the report says it’s two consenting adults and no matter how unfavorable or egregious we may think their consensual behavior is, the fact of the matter is it’s none of the public’s damn business. Why do we know this?”
