“Please stay off the weed” –  Stephen A. Smith ROASTED by NBA Twitter for linking Giannis Antetokounmpo’s trade to Knicks

Stephen A. Smith and Giannis Antetokounmpo

Stephen A. Smith is a die-hard New York Knicks fan and is always out there camping for the superstars to join his team. He is a little too loyal to them and now is aiming high. As Stephen A. Smith is recruiting NBA champion, Finals MVP, 2×MVP, and DPOY Giannis Antetokounmpo to the New York Knicks. And, he is very high with his hopes and believes Giannis Antetokounmpo to force his way out to New York next summer.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee Bucks’ season just disappointingly ended against the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat in round 1 of the playoffs. As the Heat team won the series 4-1. It hasn’t even been a week since their disappointing closure and Stephen A. Smith has already started recruiting Giannis Antetokounmpo. As sitting alongside Kendrick Perkins and Windhorst on the recent episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith started his recruiting journey.

And, while doing so he quoted: “Next Summer, Big Perk, Windy the New York Knicks are in a position to trim 60 million dollars off of their accounts. They have enough money and obviously, Giannis would be locked-in and obviously, it would involve a trade. And, we all know the Milwaukee Bucks will still have his rights… But I think it’s important to point out that the world we are living in when the stars want out they find a way out.”

Further Stephen A. Smith added: “So I think about Giannis being in Milwaukee in the city of Wisconsin, a fabulous city by the way.” Then he went on to display how the Bucks folded in the playoffs after being the best team throughout the regular season. He also discussed the now-fired coach Mike Budenholzer and his great records while bringing the Nets-Bucks series up. He also discussed the stars hooping alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and how they weren’t able to fight Jimmy Buckets.

But that’s not the end as Stephen A. Smith even tried to lure Giannis Antetokounmpo with the market, New York has on the table. And, how’s that wide open with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving leaving the city. He also claimed the Knicks to be a respectable franchise and how it can land a big bag to Giannis. As he quoted: “If you are Giannis you are thinking about that. And, if it ain’t LA it’s New York and I don’t rule out the possibility of Giannis wanting to come in New York at all.”

Stephen A. Smith is high with hopes and wants Giannis Antetokounmpo to don a Knicks jersey as soon as next summer. But the internet is clowning him as many believe that’s not going to happen anytime soon while claiming the New York Knicks to be a poverty franchise where the future of a superstar is very uncertain. But again we can’t sleep on the facts Stephen A. Smith has brought to the desk. As New York is really a city that can offer Giannis Antetokounmpo a lot of opportunities and he may give it a thought. But again, he’s one of the most loyal superstars in the league so him bouncing off or forcing his way out isn’t very possible.
