“I believe Steph will eclipse LeBron James and win five championships” Stephen A. Smith slaps Lakers star with ultimate Stephen Curry -truth bomb
Stephen A Smith on LeBron James and Stephen Curry
Stephen A Smith puts his faith in Stephen Curry and his team to win multiple titles, including 2021-23 season silverware. The sports media personality even went onto predict that the 3-Point King will eclipse LeBron James by winning at least 5 NBA championships.
Recently the NBA on ESPN team discussed all the drama around the potential NBA final matchup between Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics. While on the topic, they went a bit further discussing the Warriors’ players. The team is stacked up with young talented players around their core stars and their potential championship runs in upcoming seasons too. Kendrick Perkins believed that this is their year and they should win the silverware. Elaborating upon the same, Stephen A Smith says that the Warriors can and will win multiple Championships out of fore-coming three seasons. That will give Stephen Curry 5 titles, 1 more than the Lakers Megastar LeBron James.
Stephen A Smith made a bold prediction for the future, as he puts his bet on the young Warriors team and also cast aside LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers team. As per Smith, Stephen Curry will eclipse LeBron James with 5 titles, while LeBron will remain on 4 in the coming years.
Stephen A Smith put Stephen Curry and Golden State Warriors in prime position in upcoming NBA seasons too
Sports analyst Stephen A Smith is already excited to see his prediction fructifying this season. He predicted the rise of the Warriors team and may even win it all this season. After 5 NBA Finals appearances, the Warriors were out of playoffs for 2 consecutive seasons. Many doubted their core players returning to the championship level again. But Smith was on spot with his views and gave Golden State Warriors an advantage this postseason.
Now that the 2022 season is nearing its conclusion, people started to look into the future seasons. Stephen sees the Warriors’ dominance in that future too. When Celtics Championship winning big man Kendrick Perkins argued about this season being the last straw from the Warriors’ big 3, Smith disagreed with that.
Kendrick put forward the point about NBA teams getting better and healthier, which will make upcoming seasons difficult for the aging Warrior core. To counter that Stephen A Smith pointed out some of the upcoming and brewing talents of the Golden State Warriors, which with help of an ‘experienced’ core could deal with the ‘upgraded’ NBA Seasons.
He said, “They (Golden State Warriors) will make adjustments as well. I see Warriors winning 2 of the next 3 titles. I am talking about Steph Curry, Klay, Draymond, but also thinking about Jordan Poole, Kuminga. Yes I will bring up James Wiseman, with Kevon Looney still there and Draymond Still there. I like their chances.”
Talking about LeBron James in comparison, Stephen A Smith sided with his talent but considers that he could not win again with the Lakers team he has right now. It will keep his titles tally to 4, while Stephen Curry will be able to eclipse him by winning more championships on a stretch.
Well as far as 4-time finals MVP LeBron James is concerned, the hungry mega Star will defiantly be looking at adding some more championships to his trophy-laden cabinet. He and Los Angeles Lakers are clearly working towards the ultimate goal, after hiring a new coach Ham.
For Stephen Curry, his team is looking to finish off the great 2022 postseason on a high note. Their 6th finals appearance in 8 seasons is surely impressive, but the reigning Western Conference Finals MVP will look to add the next-level accolade of winning the title and possibly his 1st finals MVP award.
