“Stop this nonsense… Steph Curry needs you” Stephen A. Smith urges Draymond Green could cost Warriors their ‘SECOND’ championship

“Stop this nonsense… Steph Curry needs you” Stephen A. Smith urges Draymond Green could cost Warriors their ‘SECOND’ championship

Draymond Green and Stephen A. Smith

Stephen A. Smith recently critically motivated the sleeping Draymond Green who has so far cost the Warriors two games against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. The analyst also believes if the stretch for the former DPOY continues he’ll be costing the franchise two championships. One he did in 2016 by getting suspended and the second one will come this year against the Boston Celtics.  Stephen A. Smith is really worried about Draymond Green as Warriors’ championship run this year totally depends on him and his defensive experts. As they face a young team who has the best defensive rankings in the league and has turned their season around with some great adjustments and has taken out many great teams on their way to NBA Finals.

Many believe Draymond Green is out of focus as he has his mind stuck in podcasts and trash-talking which he has not backed up yet in any of the three games played. But Stephen A. Smith supports the former DPOY’s podcast and in fact, even rides as a fan of it. But the poor performance the star has showcased on the biggest stage is very concerning and the analyst had to call him out critically so a spark of motivation can be generated.  In Game 3 loss at TD Garden, Green only had 2 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

He also got two turnovers and six fouls which resulted in him fouling out and leaving the game early. But none of it mattered as he was of no use and had zero impact while running coast to coast. He even wasted a solid performance of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry by not backing them or even his talks up. The final box score stands at 100-116 favoring the Boston Celtics. A 16-points embarrassing loss for the Dubs.

Stephen A. started his critically motivated take for the former DPOY in the best way he could as he said: “What the hell was that, Draymond? We got to stop this nonsense right now. This is a motivational speech. This is not criticizing Draymond Green. This is motivation, my brother. Two points? Two damn points? All of that talking, two points!”

Stephen A. Smith blames Draymond Green and Steve Kerr for Game 3 loss against the Celtics

Stephen A. Smith was down there with some serious business as he has the Golden State Warriors winning two out of the next three championships. But if Draymond Green didn’t show up as the team wants him to it’s just done for them and the Dynasty days won’t be back. So the analyst going all in on the former DPOY quoted: “I got no problems with your podcast, my brother, I support it. I love listening to you. I hope you keep doing it. But guess what? That ain’t the priority right now. Are you ready for somebody to look at you and say to you, Draymond Green, you are on the verge of costing the Golden State Warriors two titles? When you lost in 2016, y’all win that series in five if you don’t get suspended for the game because you accumulated too many technical fouls. That’s one title.”

Further, he added: “Now, if you lose to Boston, because Game 1 you didn’t show up, Game 3 you didn’t show up, that we can’t rely on you to show up for more than one game at a time. That’s going to be a problem. Steph Curry needs you, bro. Klay Thompson needs you, bro. Jordan Poole needs you, bro. It’s time, period. You got to show up.” Stephen A. Smith also had a direct message for Draymond Green as he wants him to play the way he does being physical, setting up screens, and letting the opponents know who they are messing with as he is a future Hall of Famer.

Stephen A. was very correct with his words as that’s what the Dubs actually need to win games or else it’s just over for them. He also brought in Steve Kerr for not using the bench wisely and putting all the pressure on the stars. Now everything depends upon the Game 4 performance of Draymond at TD Garden as the Celtics will surely try to get the 3-1 lead at home and close the series soon.
