“When you look at the squad, they don’t work” Stephen A. Smith urges Lakers to rebuild their roster with shooters around LeBron James

LeBron James has entered his 20th year with the NBA and it seems as though the responsibilities are not any less of they were two decades ago. The Los Angeles Lakers lineup has been struggling to win and they look like they are on their way to being a top lottery pick in next year’s draft.
Stephen A. Smith puts all the blame on Rob Pelinka, the general manager of the team. He sat on ESPN’s Get Up and complained about LA’s lack of shooters. “Here’s the reality of the situation. Westbrook cannot shoot… I’m not letting Anthony Davis off the hook either… it almost feels like he hasn’t hit a jumpshot since he won championship for crying out loud.”
“It’s not all Westbrook, but when you look at the squad, they don’t work,” he said. He went on to acknowledge LeBron James as their best shooter on the roster. Coincidentally, he leads the Lakers in every major statistic out there. He’s currently putting up 27.3 points, 11 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game.
LeBron James struggling to keep up with the Lakers failures

As we all know, LeBron James is set to break one of the most sought after records that exist. Despite being at least 40 games away from becoming the all time leader in points, it seems as though their might be a bigger problem in his hands at the moment. The Laksrs have gone 0-3 since the start of the season.
The only win they have on their record is from the preseason. Anthony Davis was a comparatively better shooter while he played with the New Orleans Pelicans but now seems to have dipped down. He shoots less than 20% from the three-point line and the numbers continue to stoop lower.
As far as Russell Westbrook, it is slowly starting to be apparent that he does not like what he is doing on the Lakers roster. He is averaging 10.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game as well as 2 steals. His field goal percentage is atrocious with 28.3% from the field and only 8.0% from three.
