Stephen Curry and LeBron James in an all star game

The two superstars of the NBA from different eras are Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry and Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James. LeBron has been around even before Steph got into the limelight. He has always praised Chef Curry and likes to watch his game and recently in an interview, Steph talked about the priceless gift he possesses which he got from King James.

In the podcast ‘The Old Man and the Three’, Stephen Curry quoted, “I still have the jersey he gave me. He signed a jersey for me. I think that was November of my junior year. On my wall at my parents’ house in Charlotte, it’s still there. And he wrote it to me, called me the king of basketball in North Carolina. So, I guess it’s like the corny idols-become-rivals thing.”

James went to Chef Curry’s games when he played his sophomore year in college and was impressed with his game skills. During that time, LeBron signed a jersey for Curry which the guard still keeps at his parents’ place in Charlotte. After many years to this incident, both players are fighting for a top spot in the NBA league.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry after All-Star win

All know the strength and caliber of the Warriors star Steph Curry. But LeBron is someone who has seen him closely grow into a ‘beast’ player. Since he joined the league, Steph has been on a roll. Hardly anyone would remember his bad days more, as he only has a handful of them compared to the ‘golden’ days in his playing career.

He has four championship rings and has the power to carry his team over the line single-handedly. It is also difficult to count the number of records set by Chef Curry since he began playing in the league. In one of his old interviews, NBA great LeBron James stated that everyone constantly witnesses what Steph Curry has done in his career.

But he also said that he is a once-in-a-lifetime player, who has changed the game. Indeed, Steph Curry has played a significant role in revolutionizing the game of basketball. Both are said to be fierce rivals on the court but have a solid friendship off the court, and everyone hopes that it continues to remain the same.
