Stephen Curry after winning the 2022 NBA Finals now has taken some time off to enjoy some golf out there as he isn’t just limited to basketball as a sport. He has got an unlimited range in Golf too. As of now the greatest shooter of all time and the reigning Finals MVP Stephen Curry is competing in the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe. American Century Championship is a celebrity event and it is held in the second week of July. Where it brings in celebrities from all fronts to participate in the golf tournament for charity. This year the charity is named for the Stowers institute of medical research. The total pool is of $600,000 while the winner will be walking out with $125,000.
Patrick Mahomes the football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football league is also competing in the American Century Championship with Stephen Curry. Both of them are greats of their game one destroys the court and the other destroys the field. As of now none of them is topping the leaderboard at the golf tournament but yeah you never know as both of them have made many unbelievable comebacks and are also known for those as they have been on the biggest winning stages of their sports.
They also have some mutual respect for each other as in an interview at the American Century Championship Stephen Curry revealed his respect for Patrick Mahomes when a reporter questioned him about the QB who is competing against him right now. The question was around the two sharing some sort of same skills even though they play two totally different sports. But Stephen Curry aced it with his response by showing out some love for Patrick Mahomes.

Stephen Curry responding to the question regarding Patrick Mahomes quoted: “I mean to me it’s the perfect balance of everything you can teach in terms of fundamentals and you know reads and all that types of stuff I am not going to sit and talk football. The blend of what you can teach and the intangibles. He’s just got such a great feel, great awareness, the flare for the dramatic. He likes to take chances. I love that style. Same kind of way that I play. There’s a lot of respect and admiration for what he can to do on the field and I’m sure it goes the same way for what I can do on the court, too.” Stephen Curry has always been a real one whenever it’s about correctly recognizing someone or giving him the well deserved respect and that’s exactly what he did when he was asked about Patrick Mahomes.
