Stephen Curry reacts to Lebron James and Dwayne Wade praising him
Apparently there was a ‘deadly assassin’ on the lose at the TD Garden by the name of Stephen Curry, amid Game 4 of the much awaited battle between the Champions of The East and West, as the ‘Baby Faced Assassin’ took multiple victims in his ‘shootout’ against the Celtics. The 3-point God descended on the court and mesmerized us with his divine shooting ability, as he single handedly powered the Warriors for a 107-97 victory against the Celtics, with a scintillating 43 point , 10 rebound performance.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics was essentially a heavyweight brawl, however, in the end, it was Stephen Curry and the Warriors who made just enough plays to come away with a 107-97 victory to even this series at 2-2 and keep their championship aspirations alive. Steph earned the praise of Dwayne Wade and King James himself, which is like a dream come true for him.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the charge for Boston but their respective efforts weren’t enough for the Celtics to match Curry’s massive night. Jayson dropped 23 points while Jaylen Brown added 21 as Boston fell to the Warriors. When a game is within five points with five minutes or less remaining, that’s defined as clutch time, and the Warriors outscored the Celtics 15-0 in those minutes in Game 4. That is the highest differential in a Finals game in the last 25 years.

Curry’s blistering NBA Finals performances are sending his stock soaring among those that matter most – fellow professional athletes, Among current NBA stars resorting to social media in recent days to express appreciation, even adulation, are LeBron James, Joel Embiid and CJ McCollum. LeBron even agreed with the Miami Heat legend and former teammate, Dwayne Wade, stating that no one can deny Curry’s greatness, no matter how hard they try yo tarnish his legacy.
“Any player will tell you, when you get respect and praise from your colleagues and guys who have been on this stage and know what it’s about and how hard it is to do what we do, that means the world. You obviously want everybody to appreciate what you do and all that, but it hits different when there’s people that you looked up to once upon a time, when they were having their first and second experiences and you’re watching them, like, ‘I wonder what that’s like,’ and then you have some battles.“
“For them to go out of their way and to speak about your impact on the game and all that type of stuff, it means the world, for sure. Because it takes a great to recognize what it takes to do what we do, for sure.” Curry was gushing with pride on being appreciated by NBA legends for his stellar display against the Celtics.
Having played in 10 Finals himself, James understands the magnitude of Curry’s performance in Game 4. And, with four of those Finals coming against the Warriors, the Lakers forward also knows how difficult it can be to try and stop Curry when he is on a flurry.
No doubt Curry’s status is boosted by his fantastic response to the dire circumstances surrounding Game 4. The Warriors were facing the possibility of going down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series and the Garden Arena was not making things easier as it was a hot cauldron of F-bombs. Steph’s teammates realize how insane his performances are, as he is playing significantly better than any other Warriors player, averaging 34.25 PPG in this series. “Put us on his back.” Klay Thompson said, as he bowed down to Steph’s magical evening.
You cannot take your eyes of the drama in this fiery bout between the Champions of the East and the Conquerors of the West, Splash brother draining 3’s to the Celtics outclassing them in the next, it has been going back and forth for the first 4 games of the NBA Finals. While Curry has been scintillating, Thompson is yet to have a highlight night, but Steve Kerr won’t be too worried. It doesn’t take much time for Klay to get into a shooting streak. That threat is something the Celtics will have to account for in their defensive plans, as Game 5 is right on the horizon. Beware Celtics, the Warriors’ Dynasty approaches !
