DeMarcus Cousins was awarded one of the most ridiculous technical fouls, resulting in his ejection which made the entire world question the NBA, their officials and their questionable calls which have increased exponentially in the past few years with players being on the suffering end every single time. With the kind of call that was made against Boogie, people are now tending to believe that the officials definitely have something against the player, a personal vendetta or a complex, which pushes them to make such horrendous calls against the player.
This is the tale of how Boogie Cousins suffered the wrath of bad officiating in the NBA again, this time against the Golden State Warriors in the first game of the playoff
The Golden State Warriors took the win against the Denver Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic in a dominant fashion as they now lead the playoff series 1-0. Jordan Poole led the way for the Warriors with 30 points as the player surprised the rivals with a performance, they didn’t have any answer to. In this process, the Nuggets’ player DeMarcus Cousins was ejected after back-to-back technicals for reasons which made no sense to anyone in the arena. It was filled with blank faces staring at the officials for one of the most ridiculous foul calls we have ever seen.
Let us take a closer look at the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets and also look at what happened in this sequence as Boogie Cousins was ejected for literally nothing while Stephen Curry couldn’t help himself but laugh at one of the softest calls by the referees in the history of the NBA.

In the fourth quarter of the game with over 10 minutes and 25 seconds left on clock, DeMarcus Cousins was ejected by referees with what was seen as one of the softest calls in the history of the sport, which eventually led to confusing faces and a laughter from the Warriors’ star player Stephen Curry.
Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriors had the ball as Cousins stood far in front of him guarding other players which is when he looked behind and signalled something to the referees, as if he was saying “you watch on this”, after which the referee took no time and called a technical on the player.

Right after the incident, another technical was called on Cousins due to which he was ejected from the game, almost for nothing. Cousins was seen screaming in confusion, saying “for what!” as the player had to be forced out of the court into the locker room while people around protested and looked confused.
Post the incident, the camera panned at Stephen Curry who was seated on the bench and looked equally confused as he laughed at the call signalling as if it was ridiculous on part of the referees. With so many people protesting at such disastrous calls, it will also be interesting to see if the NBA takes any actions at such calls made by referees so that it doesn’t harm the players anymore.
