“Not a joking matter that Ja is hurt” Stephen Curry comes out to defend Jordan Poole against all theories of purposely injuring Morant
Jordan Poole, JA Morant, Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are facing the JA Morant-led Memphis Grizzlies in the western conference semi finals and the series is the most interesting one so far. There are physical plays, suspensions, ejections, flagrant fouls and also many controversial takes. The series was tied at 1-1 but last night the Warriors under the leadership of Stephen Curry got the lead as they dominated the Grizzlies. But the headlines are very different as the attention is on injured guard JA Morant who could have turned the game up and the blame for the injury is on Jordan Poole which is one of the biggest controversial take right now in the league but still there is no statement or decision out on it by either side but players are surely vouching for their guys.
The Golden State Warriors hosted the Memphis Grizzlies at Chase Center for Game 3. It was an important game for both the teams but the Golden State Warriors got the last laugh and have secured the lead. The first quarter was head to head and closely contested but after that the Warriors just showcased their dominating offensive and defensive end as they got the dub. The final box score stands at 142-112 favoring the Dubs a 30 points embarrassing loss for the Memphis Grizzlies. Stephen Curry in the game dropped 30 points, 6 assists and 2 rebounds. While the injury got JA Morant limited to 34 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds.
JA Morant limped off the court in the fourth quarter with near six minutes remaining and he never returned to the game. He left the court with six minutes and fifteen seconds remaining for the game to end. But the cause dates back to a play with six minutes and fifty-five seconds remaining where JA Morant was double teamed by Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole to force a turnover or steal the ball. But they ended up fouling him and Jordan Poole even grabbed his knee instead of the ball which led to the injury. The all-star guard of Memphis even thinks Jordan Poole broke the code as he tweeted out his disappointment on Twitter. But Stephen Curry has a completely different take defending his teammate.

Stephen Curry on JA Morant getting injured because of Jordan Poole
Stephen Curry in the post-game interview discussing the Morant-Poole injury quoted: “It’s unfortunate that it’s a conversation right now because obviously nobody wants to see anybody get hurt, but there’s nothing malicious about what Jordan did. There’s no comparison to what Dillon [Brooks] did or what Draymond … like nothing in that vein. So it’s not a joking matter that Ja’s hurt but all the rest of it is just total BS in terms of the conversation right now. Y’all remember that term they came up with ‘hot stove contact’? That’s what it felt like. Keep it moving.”
Stephen Curry isn’t all wrong with his words. But many don’t agree with him as they believe it was an intentional grab or play by Jordan Poole on JA Morant and he should be punished for it as he broke the code. There are no major updates on the situation yet neither on the injury which looks like an MCL sprain so nothing can be confirmed yet but soon a decision or a statement would be out clearing it all and if it isn’t out than Poole is clear and the play was a clean one and not a dirty foul. Stephen Curry though is being praised and appreciated by the Dub Nation for backing up his teammate and carrying the squad on his back and securing the lead.
