Stephen Curry supports his star forward Draymond Green after his poor performance in game 1 of the 2022 NBA finals. And as per latest results, Warriors did make extra efforts to level the series 1-1 at home and that too in some style to avenge their previous loss.

Golden State Warriors lost Game 1 in the NBA finals against Boston Celtics at Chase Center. Though the Celtics were very aggressive on the defensive end, yet it was part of the Warriors’ poor decision-making and shooting, especially in the 4th quarter that allowed the Celtics way back into the game. Ime Udoka’s team overcame a 12-point deficit in the 4th quarter and won the game 120-108, at Chase Center. Except for Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins, no other Warriors player made a huge impact on the game. Ever-so-influential star Draymond Green failed miserably on the given day and was heavily criticized for the same.

But his honest admission about the poor game, by his standards, also attracted some negative reactions. But Warriors leader and sharpshooter Stephen Curry seemed less concerned over the Draymond issue. He even supported his partner and expects a better performance in game-2

Warriors looked set to wrap up the opening game with 12 point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. But dramatic 4th quarter and long-range shooting from Boston Celtics players took the game away from the Warriors. The home team was outscored by 24 points in the final 12 minutes of the game – which ties the most point differential in any NBA Finals.

After losing game-1 Warriors players were targeted and outspoken confident Draymond Green was trolled for his worst game in the finals. He scored 2 layups and was 2-12 from the field. Along with 4 points, he had 11 rebounds but was never looked accurate with his passes and even had uncharacteristic turnovers.

Curry supporting his star forward in a pre-game interview answered the possibility of bouncing back from it, “That is the expectation. There’s no other way, no other scenario where, I see it playing out any different than him coming out with the right energy, focus just making his impact; You know felt on the court. I know he takes all that stuff personally in terms of his standard and what he knows he can do out there on the floor. So when he doesn’t meet that, he’s usually pretty honest and accountable to himself first and foremost to the team and then you go out and hoop”

3 time NBA champion Curry identifies that as an important trait of Draymond and also says that it’s in the DNA of the team.

As far as the game goes, Curry and co did bounce back from a shocking defeat. Boston Celtics were favorites from the start of the series, winning game-1 made put them even closer to the 1st title in 12 years.

But determined after losing game 1, the Warriors team up their tempo on the defenses and shut down the top scorers of the opposition team. Golden State remained consistent in their scoring led by Stephen Curry. The baby-faced assassin scored game-high 29 points while Jayson Tatum managed 28 points in the game.

Golden State Warriors did shut the opposition out as no player other than Tatum and Jaylen Brown could score 15+ points and many even stayed below 5 points. Draymond scored 9 points while shooting 2-of-3 from the field. Jordan Poole and Klay also scored in double figures as the Warriors level the series with a 107-88 win in Game-2
