Tom Brady recently in July announced his retirement from the NFL after having played for nearly 22 years, leaving as arguably the best player to have played the game. His long list of accolades includes Most NFL championships by a player and by a quarterback, most games won by player, most super bowls among others. However, this wasn’t retirement wasn’t long lived and Brady has now decided to make a comeback for this 23rd year and his third with his current team the Tampa Bay buccaneers, this caught the attention of Stephen Curry who went on to hilariously troll him for this.

He said “Tom Brady, he’s the only guy I know on earth who would rather get hit by [Rams defensive tackle] Aaron Donald than hang out with his wife Gisele Bündchen a supermodel,” said Curry, who served as the show’s host. “We all make choices and sometimes you don’t understand some of them.”  Leaving both the attendees of the event and the internet in splits.

Curry added many were asking him, “why don’t you want to go on vacation? Kick your feet up. Relax. Why keep filling up the schedule?” The Golden State star continued by jokingly saying that attempting to take it easy can take its toll.”… After celebrating three kids’ birthdays in two weeks, I finally understand why Tom Brady keeps coming back to work. Relaxation sometimes is exhausting,” Curry joked.

During Wednesday’s big night, Curry also accepted the ESPY Award for Best NBA Player, beating out the Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic, Sixers centre Joel Embiid and Mavericks star Luka Doncic.
