Superstar guard Stephen Curry was seen getting a lot of cheers from his family after his comeback from the foot injury during the Warriors vs Nuggets game 1 of the playoffs on Saturday night.
Previously, it was not revealed by the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr whether their superstar player Curry will play the postseason opener game or not, but just a few hours before the game Kerr announced that Stephen Curry will play in the game but not as a starter and he will actually come off the bench to play and will be on time restrictions. Instead of Curry the Warriors’ young gun Jordan Poole was given the chance to start the game.
The three-time NBA champion was not able to appear in the game since he got a sprained ligament and bone bruise in his foot when collided with Celtics guard Marcus Smart on March 16. It was after a month that Curry stepped his foot on the court and still made the Nuggets struggle, he scored 16 points and was three of six from behind the arc. Although his performance was limited to 21 minutes in the game still, his wife Ayesha Curry, and the children on the sidelines were enjoying and cheering for him.

Poole and Draymond Green played the key role for the Golden State Warriors who edged out the Nuggets by 123-107 and took the lead of 1-0 in the series. Meanwhile, Steph got a very small time to make the decision to come off the bench and play against the Nuggets. In the post-game conference, he revealed what was going on in his mind and how he took inspiration from teammate Klay Thompson.

He said, “I have no expectations on what’s next. We’re always trying to figure this out, because this is kinda a tough situation to deal with in terms of the quick ramp-up that I’ve had, and this is a playoff-type intensity and atmosphere.”
Curry later added, “But I learned a lot just from watching Klay’s comeback, knowing there’s an energy to start, in terms of this is what I do and what I expect, but also how can I make these minutes the most impactful.”
