LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry has once again proved how good of a mate he is as he defended LeBron James and Kevin Durant for not being a part of the playoffs. The postseason is on which means more of interviews and media time so of course, there are shots fired every other day. But Stephen Curry being one of the nicest guys around the league just did something very much expected from him. As he went out there got his ex-teammate’s name covered while letting everyone know how lethal they are and how great of a comeback they can make in the near future. The media though tried to get something out of him to spice it up but Chef just cooked them up and was completely honest.

The Golden State Warriors under the leadership of Stephen Curry have made it to the conference semifinals after calling it a wrap for the Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets with the series score of 4-1. And now they’ll be facing the JA Morant-led Memphis Grizzlies a must-watch series probably the most intense one in the western conference. On the other hand, the LeBron James led Los Angeles Lakers after battling with injuries and chemistry issues throughout the season ended it as the 11th seed and failed to get into the play-in tournament as Phoenix Suns called a wrap for them and the curtains were down with some unnecessary games.

Kevin Durant though after a very disappointing season with a lot of ups and downs winning the play-in tournament for into the playoffs. But again a terrible ending for him as the Jayson Tatum-led Boston Celtics swept the Brooklyn Nets and advanced to face the Milwaukee Bucks in the conference semi-finals. So the media getting some heat out of Stephen Curry regarding KD and King James was very expected but it was nothing but all gratitude from Stephen Curry.

Stephen Curry when asked about LeBron James and Kevin Durant quoted: “It’s part of how the NBA has grown. The young core of guys coming in. You gotta understand that we were that team and those players at one point. The Tim Duncans, the KGs, and those guys that were trying to extend their primes and their careers for as long as they could when we were coming into our prime. It’s the natural evolution of sports. It’s a reminder of how difficult it is to win at the highest level… Talent is at an all-time high across the board in the league. Seeing a little bit more parity now in terms of the teams that are making it to this stage in the playoffs… You’re still gonna see those guys back, Bron, KD, all those guys you mentioned. It ain’t like they’re just going to ride into the sunset either.”

Stephen Curry replied back with facts as that’s how really the league runs. At the end of a player’s prime, another will surely step up and take over. For KD it was Jayson Tatum and squad while King suffered due to some issues and clashes in their veteran roster where many are out of their prime. He had a sensible take for the question and didn’t hurt anyone as that’s the exact reality happening around. The Memphis Grizzlies will be hosting the Warriors at FedEx Forum on Sunday, 1st May for Game 1 of the series.
