“I’ll follow Jeremy Lin’s footsteps” Stephen Curry’s ex-champion teammate decided to test basketball fortune in China

Golden State Warriors former champion player and Stephen Curry’s ex-teammate Jordan Bell is reportedly heading to China to try his luck and play Basketball in the Chinese Basketball Association. He has been signed by Guangzhou Loong Lions. He will join former NBA champion Jeremy Lin who will be playing for Beijing Ducks.

This news was shared by Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype that Jordan Bell is heading to China. Jordan Bell won the championship with Stephen Curry and the Warriors in his rookie year in 2017-18 season. He spent the first two years of his career playing for the Golden State Warriors, but the team traded him before his third year to get in D’Angelo Russell.

Jordan Bell joined Minnesota Timberwolves with high hopes, but was unsuccessful in finding a consistent role for himself with the team ever since he left Warriors. His time with the Wolves also didn’t last long after he was traded midseason. Bell must have joined the Guangzhou Loong Lions in order to eye an entry into the NBA league. Bell is not the only NBA player to play in China, former Boston Celtics giant Tacko Fall also agreed to join the Xianjing Flying Tigers.

Is Jordan Bell eyeing NBA return while playing in the CBA?

Forward Jordan Bell agreed to a contract with the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association. Jordan remained a free agent for a long span of time before agreeing to play in the CBA. The 27-year-old last played in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, appearing in the only game last season. Mostly, he has been playing in the G League, with the Santa Cruz Warriors, Erie BayHawks and Fort Wayne Mad Ants. This is the first time he will be playing for an overseas team. His best NBA season came in 2017-18 as a rookie with the Warriors, in which he won a title and averaged 4.6 points. It is rumored that Jordan might be eyeing a return to the NBA league and hence he might be looking forward to make it big with the Guangzhou Loong Lions.
