The Golden State Warriors suffered their third season loss on Wednesday night. They fell 108-105 to the Denver Nuggets in a chaotic finish at Ball Arena. Stephen Curry had a chance to tie the game in the final 10 seconds, but he missed an uncontested left-handed layup he would normally make. It was the moment, just like against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Curry moved quickly down the lane, dribbled into the box, and got the other player. He attempted the layup with a high-floating shot. He was unable to find the desired soft release, though. Curry missed the shot as the clock ticked down. After Denver’s back-to-the-line situation due to a Golden State foul, the team won its eighth game of the year.

Six Warriors players scored in double figures, with Curry leading the way for the ninth straight game. Though he only shot 6–17 for his 23 points, the 35-year-old made all six field goals from beyond the arc. Curry went scoreless in the first quarter, but their defense managed to withstand a strong early Nuggets attack.
After falling to the Denver Nuggets, the Golden State Warriors now have a 6-3 record. After nine games, they are presently ranked second in the Western Conference. Chris Paul‘s arrival has improved their bench unit. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson have both played outstanding defense this season. Steph Curry has played at an MVP level. Additionally, it will provide them with more footage to look for weaknesses in the current champion’s defenses.
Fans’ reaction to Stephen Curry misses an easy Layup against Nikola Jokic
Steph Curry’s shot against the Nuggets and the one he took and scored against the Thunder were very similar in many ways. Denver’s defense was a bit longer. Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic both shifted over to watch Curry make his layup. A defensive pressure like that is enough to accelerate anyone.

Fans poked Curry by calling him a “choker.” Although many felt it was the defense, which also makes a lot of sense, as Nugget’s defense remains quite a heavy deadlift that any seasoned player would feel the heaviness. Many of them said Klay Thompson could have made Gordon out of the line, which could have made that layup possible. Check out some of the reactions:
Curry has started the new season with some remarkable performances. It would have been his second game-winning jumper of the year had he made the last-second shot against the Nuggets. If stats included the preseason matchup with the Sacramento Kings, it would be three. He finished the competition with 23 points as well. The star guard gave a great performance; it was just a difficult ending.
