The NBA is a competitive and intensely pressured sport. But occasionally, humor intrudes throughout the game, providing players with amusing but upbeat moments. On January 30, 2024, during the final game between the Golden State Warriors and the Philadelphia 76ers, one such incident broke out. Patrick Beverley, the tussle between the guard for the Philadelphia 76ers, and Jonathan Kuminga was about to get heated when Stephen Curry stopped it with his unique move.
Kuminga and Beverley squared up after the former was fouled while en route to the basket. However, Curry was already joking and jumping in the mix before any tension could build, which worked well because the two players chuckled afterward. In a Pat Bev Podcast with Rone episode, the 76ers guard talked about the event. Pat Bev shed light on how long ago Steph and he were roommates in college! And Curry being his son’s favorite player.

Patrick Beverley said via Pat Bev podcast,
Every Bron Camp, Paul-Peirce Camp, USA team. That's my roommate. That's my bro, and it's always good at seeing him. And he's my son's favorite player. Dad you guys play Steph Curry today, how you feel? I feel good, what you mean how I feel? Yeah dad watch out!
Pat Bev explains on the podcast that they had been roommates in every camp, including the USA Team and the Bron Camp. Together, they also attended college: Patrick went to South Carolina, and Stephen attended Davidson.
The two ex-roommates have faced off in 35 games. Moreover, against Pat’s 12 games, Steph has won 23, including a 6-2 record in the playoffs.
Stephen Curry gifted Lindsay Lohan with his jersey
One of the NBA’s biggest draws is Steph Curry. He’s still capable of amazing feats on the basketball floor at 35 years old. Celebrities, therefore, frequently swarm to see him. Lindsay Lohan was among the celebs present at the recent Golden State Warriors vs. Philadelphia game, where she was accompanied by her spouse, Bader Shammas. Attendees of Saturday’s Golden State Warriors overtime defeat to the Atlanta Hawks were treated to a unique show as Curry scored a sensational 60 points.

Curry was captured on camera, giving the newlyweds his jersey in a scene that quickly went viral on social media and, naturally, the basketball press circuit. The jersey will make a wonderful memento, and Curry and the other players even autographed it. That night, when one of the best basketball players in history had such an incredible outing, will nevertheless, mean more to the fans.
Alexis Ohanian, a co-founder of Reddit, couldn’t help but quote a lofty figure for Curry’s jersey. Alexis Ohanian made a bold prediction about the price of Curry’s match jersey in the future. He mentioned in a post that his jersey is worth a whopping $100,000.
