“They desperately need a Robin to their Batman” Stephen Jackson urges Mavericks to acquire help for Luka Doncic in order to contest for the Championship

Stephen Jackson on Luka Doncic
Luka Doncic was surrounded by the hounds in Arizona, as the lone warrior fell prey to The Phoenix Suns. The Dallas Mavericks were outfoxed by The Suns On Game 2 in Arizona, as the Mavericks talisman, Luka had a great first half, going for 24 points in Phoenix. You could see Luka going back and forth with those in attendance after many of his buckets as he the tempers flared when the Phoenix Suns took a comfortable 2-0 lead in the series.
Stephen Jackson has voiced what all of us desperately hope for, get Luca a ‘Robin’ ! The Slovenian has been a running the show for Dallas but needs support from his teammates. Former NBA player, Jackson, has said that the Dallas Mavericks need another star complementing Doncic to achieve sustained playoff success. ”We’ve just got to get someone to join the party.”, Dallas coach Jason Kidd implored that Luka cannot carry Dallas on his own he needs someone to step up and take some weight of his shoulders.

“Luka Doncic needs a Robin”
Jackson, who was a guest on Fox Sports’ “First Things First,” believes the Mavericks will have to find a Robin for their Batman, as Doncic alone is unlikely to lead Dallas to a championship.
“The Suns are too much point blank, they’re too much they have their two stars two of the best players in the league. We’ve been saying the same thing about the Dallas, they need another star they need to find the Robin for Batman now. Luca is is going to do his job, Brunson is great, but they still need another star.” Jackson explained .
Phoenix’s constant attack on Doncic just mounts the pressure on the guard. The Suns continue to make him work on both ends while shutting down the 23-year-old’s supporting cast on offense. Dallas came into this series counting on key points from Jalen Brunson and Spencer Dinwiddie. Brunson averaged 16.3 points per game in the regular season, but improved tenfold in the first round of the postseason to 27.8 ppg.
“They’re going to keep going through these same type of things where they get into the second round maybe maybe the Final, the western conference finals sometimes, but they will never go over that hump with just Luca. He’s great, but every player needed some help and needed another star and until Dallas get that they’re going to be in the same position,I think Phoenix might sweep them” Jackson concluded. The Suns have indeed marked their authority with their two stars shining against just the one from Dallas.
With reports of Rudy Gobert coming to Dallas, can it finally fix the missing piece in the equation ? Dallas already have one of the better defenses this season, but the addition of another star such as Rudy Gobert could do wonders for Doncic and Mavericks. “He’s tired every night. He plays hard, But we’ve got to get other guys involved to help him. Right now, it’s just been him. So, we’ve got to get Brunson and Spencer going” Kidd said of Doncic. As Batman gears up to save his home, ‘Gotham City’ against The invading Suns, will we finally see the emergence of ‘Robin’ in desperate times ? A blockbuster awaits in Game 3 !
