Steve Kerr is back in the NBA headlines as he recently cleared the unnecessary dirt on Jonathan Kuminga which was thrown by analyst Stephen A. Smith some weeks ago. According to Stephen A. Smith, Jonathan Kuminga wasn’t really living up to the expectations everyone had around him and was wasting his summer with an unprofessional work ethic and an attitude problem. Steve Kerr though didn’t buy it and recently denied all those fake claims in an interview of his.

Stephen A. Smith is undoubtedly one of the most powerful voices in sports, especially in the league. So him saying anything about anyone really matters out there and Jonathan Kuminga being a young gun really changes the whole story. So it was necessary for Steve Kerr to come out and guard his boy. And, being the head coach Steve Kerr did a perfect job cleaning up the damaged image of Jonathan Kuminga.

Stephen A. Smith talking about the Dubs criticized Jonathan Kuminga for his attitude, level of focus, determination and commitment. He mentioned he is a fan but the forward has to have his head down and put in the necessary work. Steve Kerr though recently shut downed this take as the story is very different because Kuminga is out there in the gym and doing everything he can.

Recently, Steve Kerr appeared on “The TK Show” podcast and there he discussed the wrong take centered on Jonathan Kuminga’s attitude and work ethic. And, while doing so he quoted: “I know there was that weird report that came out, I think Stephen A. Smith said something about JK, and honestly, Bob [Myers] and I when that came out, called each other and asked each other ‘where did that come from?’… Because it made no sense, because JK’s been great, he’s done everything we’ve asked of him, he’s worked hard, I enjoy coaching him. He’s right where he needs to be and he’s gotta just keep getting better every day. But we’re very happy with his summer and everything he’s committed to.”

Steve Kerr has also mentioned: “JK’s had a really great summer, he’s done everything we’ve asked of him. He’s traveled some because he’s played for his national team during the summer, but he’s been working really hard.” Kerr is the perfect guy to say it out. As being the head coach he knows exactly what his guys are up to. So it’s fair to say that Stephen A. Smith got his reports wrong this time. And, JK will be returning back to the team with a lot of improvements made because now he also has got some mouths to shut.
