The Stephen Curry led-Warriors are masters of theatrics. In a 119-114 overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night at Target Center, they were on the losing end of it. They were outscored 37-21 in the final frame and overtime despite holding a 14-point lead at one point and an 11-point lead going into the final quarter. The warriors only scored 43 points after halftime after scoring 71 points in the first half.

Twenty-one of Steph Curry’s 29 points came in the first half. Curry lost the game in the last minutes despite having 10 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double. Despite having seven players in the double digits, the Warriors handled the ball poorly. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was definitely not happy with the way his team played and made it known in the post-game press conference.

Speaking to the media after the loss, Kerr said, “We had control of the game, and I thought we just kind of gift-wrapped it. ”They took advantage of our mistakes and our lack of execution. … Everything we had done to that point to have control of the game. We stopped doing, so we got what we deserved.” Golden State’s Stephen Curry finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Klay Thompson scored 14, Jordan Poole added 18 points, and Draymond Green finished 10 points and 12 rebounds. The Warriors recorded three straight victories heading into the game

Golden State turned the ball over a total of nine times between the fourth quarter and overtime after doing it eight times in the first three periods. It definitely isn’t a performance one might expect from the reigning champions. After their latest game, the Timberwolves edged the Warriors for the 6th place.

In the Timberwolves victory against the Golden State Warriors 119-114 with D’Angelo Russell scored 14 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter. Anthony Edwards took over in overtime after Russell fouled out. In the first minute of overtime, Russell fouled out following two rapid whistles. The scenario was therefore set for Edwards.

Edwards was active in overtime after the fourth quarter ended without a point being scored by him. He was seen going to the hoop and making scores in the midst of traffic several times. The Timberwolves, who were behind by 11 after three, finished the comeback with Edwards’ assistance. Even though he only scored four of his 27 total points in the extra period, he was their offensive engine.

With 1:43 remaining, Edwards made a key jumper in the lane to give Minnesota a 115-112 lead while Russell watched from the bench. With a powerful dunk in the dying seconds, Minnesota’s Naz Reid, who finished with 24 points, secured the victory.
