“I’m not gonna lie…I’m hungover” Steve Kerr makes hilarious admission after partying late night with Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr
With 34 points from Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics 103-90 on Thursday night and the victory gives the trio of Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green their fourth title together(all under head coach Steve Kerr) adding to their championships from 2015, 2017 and 2018. After a late-night blowout in Boston, the Golden State Warriors went home to San Francisco on Friday evening to celebrate their fourth NBA title in eight years by sweeping off the Celtics in six games.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr is no stranger to the festivities surrounding an NBA title celebration. Kerr won his ninth NBA championship as a player and coach on Thursday night when the Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. When the 2021-22 season began, Kerr and the Warriors were not expected to win the championship, and they entered the postseason as the Western Conference’s No. 3 seed.
Stephen Curry with the exclamation point after an unproductive Game 5
The Warriors warned that Stephen Curry would be “livid” after failing to make a 3-pointer in Game 5, and the two-time MVP replied in typical Steph fashion, scoring 34 points on 12-for-21 shooting from the field and 6-for-11 from 3-point range. Curry, of course, was then crowned the Finals MVP having averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists against the Celtics while shooting 41.8 percent from deep. Thompson (12 points) and Green (12 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists) were also outstanding. Jordan Poole has been a sensation when he’s in the zone, scoring 15 points off the bench in a vital game and Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr. each scored a few clutch buckets, while Kevon Looney made his presence felt on the offensive boards once more.
Jaylen Brown (32 points) did his part for the Boston Celtics, and Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, Al Horford, and Robert Williams also weighed in. Turnovers once again proved Boston’s biggest downfall meanwhile, Boston’s bench struggled to offer anything to match the Warriors’ tenacity on the other end of the floor, with Grant Williams, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard combining for only five points.

Steve Kerr- The man,The myth,The Legend
Steve Kerr won five championship rings during his playing career and has led the Golden State Warriors to four NBA titles in eight seasons. The Warriors partied hard late Thursday at TD Garden in Boston, early Friday morning and on the plane ride back to the Bay Area later that day. Kerr walked over to reporters after landing at San Francisco International Airport and was asked how he was feeling: “I’m not going to lie. I’m hungover right now,” Kerr said with a laugh. “We had a great night last night. We had an incredible night. A late night but a special one just celebrating with the team, the families. Just a beautiful night.”
In uniform, he has won five championships with Chicago where he hit the memorable game-winning jumper in the Bulls’ 1997 championship game against the Utah Jazz and with the San Antonio Spurs in 1999. He is the first person in NBA history to win at least four titles as a player and a coach. Curry may be the greatest outside shooter of all time, but Kerr has the best 3-point shooting percentage in NBA history at 45.4 percent.
