Steve Kerr roasts Jordan Poole, claims young star’s trade ‘POSITIVE SHIFT’ for Warriors
Steve Kerr believes recent roster changes around Jordan Poole were a positive shift.
Steve Kerr and Jordan Poole
Jordan Poole signed an extension with the Golden State Warriors last summer, and many even believed him to be the next splash brother. But unfortunately, nothing like that will be happening any time soon. As the Golden State Warriors front office parted ways with their young and talented guard, Jordan Poole. As they traded him and some picks to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Chris Paul.
Jordan Poole was supposed to carry the Golden State Warriors during the past season. The franchise, especially Steve Kerr and the front office, trusted him with the bag. But all of them got clowned, as Jordan Poole never showed up to ball out and instead ended up disappointing the team. Jordan Poole had zero contribution to the team and played with no great effort. He recorded some donut games either way.
However, the Golden State Warriors aren’t giving up anytime soon and will try their best to add another title to their name. As Head Coach Steve Kerr talked about the recent changes with Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, he claimed the recent trade that sent Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards was a positive shift.
Admitting that the change was necessary Steve Kerr quoted, “We’re going to be a lot different. The last thing I’m going to do is say anything about a team that just won a championship a year ago and then fought through a difficult season. Made a helluva run at the end of this year. I’ve loved this group that we’ve had the last couple years.”
Further, Steve Kerr clowning Jordan Poole added: “But the biggest point is that we sensed we needed a shift. Didn’t mean we needed an overhaul, but we needed a shift of some sort. I think everybody in the organization sensed that. And it feels like we’ve made a pretty significant shift without giving up our identity and our sense of who we are as a team. I think, all in all, it’s a very positive shift.”
The Dubs have brought some more life to their core and a Veteran while losing the services of Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. Also, they aren’t done yet and would like to improve their roster in the FA market too.

Are the Golden State Warriors right exchanging Jordan Poole for Chris Paul?
The Golden State Warriors will need extreme leadership, experience, and a voice around the team next season. Chris Paul brings all of it to the table. On the other hand, they had Jordan Poole, who turned out to be disappointing during the most important games of his career. He was also lacking chemistry with the actual core of the team and trying to play hero ball while having all-time greats like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson next to him.
Chris Paul will overall be a better option for the Dubs to keep the system and core active. They can also replace him with Draymond Green’s role of being the primary ball handler and creating wide jumpers for the Splash Brothers. Jordan Poole, though, would have never been fit for this role in the near future. So it’s fair to say that they have taken the right risk and can make a lot of noise once the season begins.
But if they want to land a championship. They’ll need a little bit more help on the defensive end and the core of the team would have to stay fit and healthy. If the change is really a positive shift and Stephen Curry and Chris Paul can ball out together then stopping the Dubs won’t be easy.
