Steve Kerr lauds Stephen Curry for his Championship successes as a coach

The streets were filled with ecstasy as the Bay Area rallied their Mastermind Steve Kerr and King, Stephen Curry and his Championship heroes home, holding their pride and the Larry O’Brian trophy aloft, as San Francisco basked in the celebrations. “You don’t wanna see us next year”, These were Stephen Curry’s words on May 21st, 2021 after a disappointing loss to the Grizzlies in the Play-In Tournament. About 11 months down the line, the Warriors have stepped up and claimed what is theirs, their opponents have bowed down, and the haters are nowhere to be seen, as the Golden State Warriors clinch their 4th NBA Title in 8 seasons.

The Bay Area roared the loudest for its King in the West, Stephen Curry , who has dismembered his critics, obliterated every hurdle on his way and has led the path for Golden State to rise from its ashes to the their rightful throne. The Golden State Warriors are NBA champions after coming away with a 103-90 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals at TD Garden on Thursday night. In the end, Curry, once again, led the way for Golden State on the offensive end. He finished the series-clinching win with a team-high 34 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, adding yet another chapter to his already storied career.

The rest of the Warriors offered Curry plenty of help as Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson all scored in double figures as well. On the other end, the Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown, who did all he could with 34 points, seven rebounds and three assists, but unfortunately for Boston fans, it wasn’t enough to extend their season one more game.

I will look back and just say thank you to Steph” Steve Kerr states Stephen Curry as the reason of his sucess

There was a lot of speculation about where Steve Kerr and Golden State will be at the end of this NBA season, after suffering their worst couple of years in recent history. People forget that ‘Warriors’ is their name, it is a part of who they are, winning is in their DNA.

Steve Kerr is in just his eighth season as an NBA head coach, all with the Warriors. He already is among the all-time greats, “Top 5 coaches of All Time”, as Stephen A Smith stated after the NBA Finals. The Warriors head coach enjoyed his own 15-year playing career where he won five championships, while clinching his 4th Title as a coach.

When Steve Kerr came to the Warriors, it was because the team needed a head coach who would reset the culture in Oakland. They needed a tactical master. Someone who could adapt to any situation and deploy his players in the perfect way. And that’s what Kerr proved himself to be. During the Warriors’ championship parade on Monday, Kerr was asked a very intriguing question by a random fan. The supporter wanted to know how many titles Kerr thought he could still win in the future. The response from the Warriors coach was spot on, somewhat true too – “How much longer is Steph playing?” Steve Kerr hilariously replied, not the first time he has praised Steph.

Five straight NBA Finals and a move across the Bay later, it’s obvious that Kerr was able to. The Warriors’ offensive and defensive systems are the envy of the league and the team’s environment of positivity and accountability is legendary. But the Warriors needed something more than a big-picture coach this season, particularly in the NBA Finals. Kerr has sharpened his spearhead in the form of Stephen Curry, and made him the ‘Achilles’ of his troop of Warriors, winning 4 Championships with the ‘Baby Faced Assassin’.

Golden State don’t give up, they conquer, which is what they did as they invaded Boston’s home court and reclaimed their throne at the the summit of NBA. We’ve witnessed the Warriors execute smooth rotations and accurate shooting against their opponents and that’s the point which gives them the edge. Their bread-and-butter stuff worked particularly well against the Celtics. The Warriors missed the playoffs in the last two seasons. They weren’t favored to win the title this year, but now find themselves atop the NBA, with their dynasty intact, and their coach masterminding their rise to the top.

The Golden State Warriors’ roster includes a lot of guys who are still young in the league, and haven’t proven themselves. But players like Jordan Poole and Kevon Looney fit well within the system, as displayed in the playoffs this year. The horrific end to the 2019 NBA Finals, which saw Klay suffering a torn ACL, coupled with 2 of their worst seasons in recent history, some people were assuming the dynasty had died, well, seems like it won’t so soon.

After having gone through so much, Golden State have reinstated their position back among the elite, with Stephen Curry back to his very best. “My main thought is just how lucky I was to have landed with the Warriors in my first coaching job. Whenever I’m done coaching, I will look back and just say thank you to Steph, you know night after night because he’s made this situation for us as an organization, just easy for everybody, special player, special person.” Kerr summed up about Steph, seems like the duo are not done dominating the NBA, just yet.
